This manuscript shows that CHIP somatic clones in blood—especially TET2 mutant ones—migrate into tumors, reshape immunity, drive progression, and promote recurrence. Hypofractionated radiotherapy for prostate cancer (HYDRA): an individual patient data meta-analysis of randomised trials in the MARCAP consortium out on The Lancet Oncology sciencedirect.com/science/ar… meta-analysis compared the efficacy and toxicity of isodose and dose-escalated moderately hypofractionated radiotherapy ☢️(MHFRT) 🆚 conventionally-fractionated radiotherapy (CFRT) for #ProstateCancer . 7⃣ phase 3 trials involving 5,880 patients were included. Both isodose and dose-escalated MHFRT showed similar progression-free survival to CFRT, but dose-escalated MHFRT was associated with increased gastrointestinal toxicity and worse patient-reported bowel quality of life. Isodose MHFRT did not increase genitourinary or gastrointestinal toxic effects and maintained patient-reported quality of life.
