Months of work, condensed into seconds. Watch the transformation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool as crews drained, repainted, and refilled one of America's most iconic landmarks ahead of a busy summer season in Washington, D.C.

Ray’s Rock - Omaha Beach On the morning of June 6, 1944, 23 year old Staff Sergeant Arnold “Ray” Lambert came ashore with the first wave of the 1st Infantry Division on the eastern side of Omaha Beach. At this small patch of concrete he saved nearly 20 lives: The division came under intense fire from several German bunkers surrounding the entrance to the Colville Draw (one of two exits off Omaha Beach). Ray, a medic, immediately went to work. He was shot in the arm. Moments later he was hit by shrapnel in the leg, but Ray kept pulling men to safety. He pulled nearly 20 wounded soldiers to cover behind this 8ft wide obstacle, treating each soldier before going out in search of others. After several hours under fire, while pulling a wounded soldier from the ocean, he was struck by a landing craft. It dropped its ramp on top of him, breaking his back. He fell face down in the water, drowning. The craft backed up and nearby soldiers pulled an unconscious Ray to safety, eventually evacuating him off the beach. Remarkably, Ray had already earned two Silver Stars and three Purple Hearts in Sicily and North Africa, prior to landing in France. But here in Normandy his war would end. He awoke in a hospital back in England a day later. In the next bed over was his brother, who had also been wounded at Omaha. When asked about his work on D-Day, Ray simply said, “I did what I was called to do.” Ray Lambert passed in 2021 at 100 years old. He exemplified the best of American grit and why remembering this day is so important.

Commemorating D-Day and the heroes who gave it all to free the world of evil. I am quite worried about the weak generations among us, willing to compromise and jeopardize everything these men fought and died for. New generations, ignorant and manipulated, willing to glorify and elect Nazis, Communists and Terrorists, dark spirits who hate America, Freedom, Liberty and Capitalism. May the incredible sacrifices of the greatest generation not be in vain. America must remain the shining city upon a hill. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

In fact, @StarTrek even inspires my publishing! #WhereNoManHasGoneBefore
Did you know that a childhood fascination with @StarTrek & the idea of diagnosing a complex medical condition w/o touching the patient is one reason @JuliusChapiro of @YaleMed became a radiologist? Learn more about Dr. Chapiro in this article from @RSNA. bit.ly/4tpZmg7

Proud of my colleague @sundar__raghav
Great talk by @sundar__raghav at #ASCO26 on “Breaking the Immune Sanctuary: Targeting Metastatic Niches.” Metastasis may not be random—immune and cellular niches matter. These metastatic “sanctuary” sites can limit immunotherapy responses, underscoring the need for better treatment strategies. Understanding these niches may be the next frontier in cancer therapy. @ASCO @SmilowCancer @OncoAlert @YaleGICancers

Cheers, chills, and a standing ovation when RASolute 302 showed unprecedented survival on daraxonrasib for patients with progressive pancreatic cancer Seldom do you sense you’re witnessing a historic moment in cancer care but this feels like ras targeting has arrived #ASCO26

Amazing moment and the applause goes to the trial investigators, the patients but let’s not forget @RevMedicines and their scientists, business managers and the clinical trial office who made this possible as well. It took the power of free market enterprise, unshackled and unmitigated capitalism, entrepreneurial spirit, and the power and will of the American economy and innovation spirit to achieve such results. This is huge! 🇺🇸
Hemotional results. Dedicate to all patients with pancreatic cancer. Results like this one makes me a better clinical investigator and physician when I’ll go back in clinic next week.

I was a freshman in high school when I decided I wanted to be an oncologist I had a meaningful full-circle moment today at #ASCO26 when I met a remarkably articulate young man who, at roughly the same age, has set his sights on joining our field The future is so very bright🌟
Had the opportunity to talk with Dr. Mark Lewis @marklewismd today, a GI medical oncologist, cancer advocate, and one of the most influential voices in oncology on social media. We discussed the rise of young-onset cancers, the importance of effective communication in medicine, and the growing role of social media in educating patients and the public about cancer. I was especially inspired by Dr. Lewis's perspective on caring for patients not only as a physician but also as a fellow human being, and by his commitment to making complex medical topics more accessible. Thank you, Dr. Lewis, for sharing your time, insights, and experiences. I truly enjoyed our conversation. @KhinNaingUSA

Presented at #ASCO26: Among patients with previously treated metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, the RAS(ON) inhibitor daraxonrasib led to significantly longer overall survival and progression-free survival than chemotherapy. Full phase 3 RASolute 302 trial results: nej.md/4nWaxvM @ASCO

🏭 620-mile Tesla Roadster is reportedly headed to Austin • New video indicates Roadster production is planned for Gigafactory Texas • Target specs still read 1.9s 0-60, 250 mph, and 620 miles • That would put Roadster beside Cybertruck and Cybercab work
