Looks like I was half right. I predicted that the M346 would be our new trainer AND our new Snow Birds demo team jet. It would have been great at both, but this is still a good decision for the RCAF.
PS: See, I don't always pick the Saab option (T7).

Given the overall green paint schemes this appears to be a recent image. The aircraft are L-39 armed trainers and by all visual indication, are the only operational combat capable jets in Cuba 1/

Despite reports in some reputable sources of Mig-29's and 21's still flying in very small numbers, there has been no recent images to confirm this, though it would not be surprising if efforts had been made to cannibalize airframes to make this happen 4/

BREAKING: In addition to the B-52H Stratofortress heavy bombers of the U.S. Air Force and their escorting F-22A Raptor and F-35A Lightning II fighters, F-15I Ra'am strike fighters of the Israeli Air Force are now conducting airstrikes against targets in Alborz and Tehran provinces of Iran.
Following the earlier wave of strikes west of Tehran, a second series of explosions was reported across Karaj, Mehrshahr, Gohardasht, Jahanshahr, Fardis, Golshahr, Shahin Villa, Baghestan, Hashtgerd, Nazarabad, Savojbolagh, and the vicinity of Payam Airport between 03:52 and 03:56 local time.
Residents reported multiple powerful explosions, shockwaves, and vibrations strong enough to shake homes and windows. Several eyewitnesses described continuous sounds resembling incoming missiles followed by heavy detonations, while others reported seeing flashes associated with the strikes.
Particularly intense explosions were reported in and around Karaj at 03:53β03:55, with additional detonations heard from the direction of Hashtgerd and western approaches to the capital. Witnesses in Nazarabad and Savojbolagh also reported further explosions and shockwaves originating from the Karaj-Hashtgerd corridor.
The exact targets remain unknown. However, eyewitness accounts indicate that the ongoing air campaign is targeting multiple sites in western Tehran Province and neighboring Alborz Province.
