I just won 1st place at the Stanford Internal FAF Hackathon as a high school grad! I built an AI app that writes with you on your Goodnotes canvas. It thinks and scribbles alongside you, all in natural handwriting. @vedant__khanna thanks so much for putting this awesome weekend together! The Stanford FAF Club is really such a special group of people! It was so much fun to hack with all the FAF members!

Met @garrytan and @DrewEndy at Stanford yesterday, and both gave an amazing and deeply personal talk! Favorite thing that Drew Endy said was: "If you want to start a company, patent and license it; if you want to start a sector, give it away." Favorite thing from Garry: "Really, really good ideas are not just contrarian intellectually; they’re contrarian in your body!"

I just won first place at the NVIDIA x Vercel x Brex hackathon! Jensen Huang even signed a hat for me! It was the world’s shortest hackathon ever, and we won it by building a simulation of autonomous driving algorithms like NVIDIA’s Carla model. Thanks @Baxate_carter & @evilrabbit_ for judging! cc @nvidia @vercel @brexHQ

YC Summer Conference was incredible! Great talks from @eshear & @handotdev with @snowmaker & @harjtaggar! cc @adamcandoit @ycombinator Takeaways: - It is a people game. It always comes down to the people you can inspire to work on a vision with you. - "You will feel if you have PMF". If you ask yourself if you have already found PMF, you probably haven’t. - Mintlify: You might need to pivot 100 times, but if you just don’t die, you will find the right project, and then it will hit! - Mintlify & Harj: A great co-founder is like a superpower. - Emmett Shear: Build things that you genuinely love to use yourself and that you can find 5 other people that are also obsessed with using it. - If you can’t find 10 people that absolutely love a product and that spread it everywhere, how do you want to convince 1k, 100k, or 1M people? General about YC: - Make something people want. It sounds so simple but is actually very hard for most people to understand. Instead of trying to understand which tricks to use to increase retention, you should build a product that people can’t stop using. - The partners actually care for each founder, visitor, company, user, ANYONE. - They take the time to just talk to you and spend two hours deep diving into a topic. @snowmaker @harjtaggar - You can just go up to a YC partner and ask for help on a problem you have, and they are more than welcome to help you. - Some YC founders took the YC deal way past the “YC stage“ and said it was the best decision of their life. “You don’t do YC for the money, but everything else it has to offer.“ - Move to the Bay Area. This is the place to be.

Thanks a lot Apple for having me! It was fantastic to meet so many of the people behind the tools we use every day. Special shoutout to the ML team that made the new Foundation Models Framework happen, which brings a fast & private local LLM into every app. @shshnkp @EEhare @settern

I cracked Google’s text diffusion model. here’s how it works:
We’ve developed Gemini Diffusion: our state-of-the-art text diffusion model. Instead of predicting text directly, it learns to generate outputs by refining noise, step-by-step. This helps it excel at coding and math, where it can iterate over solutions quickly. #GoogleIO

I’m a 19 y/o founder from Germany, and I cracked how Google’s Text Diffusion model works! There are three main approaches on this topic:
