We have developed automated metadata extraction, distillation and aggregation processes by taking advantage of modern #NoSQL database technologies.
This enables flexible and fast search across vast numbers of neuroimaging datasets.
Our @CouchDB backend is highly scalable.

ALT NeuroJSON project sets an ambitious goal of eliminating all file formats! By doing so, we can eventually lift the burdens of supporting specific/diverse file formats from software developers and eventually make data files of all kinds to be human-readable, easily parsable and reusable. NeuroJSON project will be building upon a series of standardized, widely supported, and scalable technologies, including JSON, OpenJData specifications, JSON Schema and NoSQL Database. It is one of the first applications of the OpenJData project - where the JSON-based scientific data annotations and application-specific file schemas are standardized.
