Here is our manifesto towards open-data sharing read in details neurojson.org/wiki/index.cgi…
Here are the 5 guiding principles of @NeuroJSON: 1.Open-data MUST BE provided in "source-code" format 2.Open-data MUST BE human-understandable 3.Diverse data formats do harm to #openscience and #opendata 4. Small is beautiful 5. Metadata is your data neurojson.org/wiki/index.cgi…

A write up on the overall NeuroJSON platform architecture read more at neurojson.org/wiki/index.cgi…
I prepared the below diagram for my @NeuroJSON poster presented at #OpticaBiophotonics24 it is a nice visual on the overall architecture we created at NeuroJSON.io, and deserves further explanations on many of the ideas behind read more neurojson.org/wiki/index.cgi…

Here is a video tutorial on how to use #jdata #python module to list, retrieve, query and download @BIDSstandard #neuroimaging datasets
with the new #jdata module, one can now access the rich @BIDSstandard #neuroimaging datasets on NeuroJSON.io via #RESTAPI see an animated demo to find out how easy it is to query @OpenNeuroOrg datasets, retrieve metadata, filter data, and download data files on-demand

#Python #JData v0.6.0 is only 25kB in size, but it gives one the ability to download/query the 1000 neuroimaging datasets via #REST-API inside Python get it today pip install jdata pypi.org/project/jdata
#python #jdata module major update (v0.6) 🆕#JSONLab like #jsonpath function for slicing complex dict/list 🆕loadurl to directly load JSON/binary JSON via #REST-API 🆕jdlink for on-demand download/cache externally linked data files 🆕unit-tests, examples github.com/NeuroJSON/pyjdata…

Tutorial Part 3 - how to dynamically access/download/cache NeuroJSON.io datasets on @GnuOctave

because #JSONLab is compatible with both @MATLAB and @GnuOctave, exactly the same REST-API access can be done in Octave here is the 3rd part of the tutorial using Octave

A lightweight and cloud-friendly way to access and process large complex @OpenNeuro @BIDSstandard datasets in @MATLAB and @GnuOctave - only downloading data files needed "on-demand", and cache the files for local analyses See our 3-part video tutorials - Part 1 and Part 2
#neuroimaging researchers, we want to show you a cool way to access complex @OpenNeuro @BIDSstandard datasets No need to download gigabytes of files before starting analysis You can use our NeuroJSON.io REST-API and #JSONLab to get data on-demand @MATLAB & @GnuOctave

make @BIDSstandard dataset_description.json, guide by real-time validation using JSON schema
check this out we made a @BIDSstandard dataset_description.json creator⚙️,editor✏️ and validator✅ neurojson.org/Create/dataset… we use @jsonschema to verify user inputs follow the recommended formats, making it easy for future data harmonization @NeuroJSON @OpenNeuroOrg @datalad

NeuroJSON.io is a "document-store" for neuroimaging data. That means every data resource we host can be accessed universally using URL-based #REST APIs. check out how easy it is load datasets in #Python or @MATLAB

All datasets on NeuroJSON.io are stored in ubiquitously supported #JSON format and can be universally accessed in nearly all environments using URL based #RESTful-APIs here is a tutorial how to directly load datasets from NeuroJSON.io in #Python and @MATLAB

Our imaging metadata extractor is especially optimized towards @BIDSstandard datasets, this helps users navigate across the comprehensive @OpenNeuroOrg datasets with ease.
Here is a video walk-through on how to dive into @OpenNeuroOrg datasets, and use the in-browser rendering tools to preview 3-D imaging volumes, mesh objects, and more if you want to take a look, head this way 👇 neurojson.org/db/openneuro

We have developed automated metadata extraction, distillation and aggregation processes by taking advantage of modern #NoSQL database technologies. This enables flexible and fast search across vast numbers of neuroimaging datasets. Our @CouchDB backend is highly scalable.
A key area that @NeuroJSON and neurojson.io is hoping to facilitate is the "findability" of free datasets. This is achieved thank to modern #NoSQL databases. Our metadata are hosted in an #opensource @CouchDB, offering many ways to extract and search #metadata

One can directly render 3-D/4-D imaging data inside browser before downloading data from NeuroJSON.io checkout the below screencast

More on data preview functions in neurojson.io: you can preview 1-D/2-D single data, 3-D structural MRI and even 4-D fMRI time series in the NeuroJSON.io web based interface We use @Threejs library for fast rendering. try this neurojson.org/db/fieldtrip(a…
