In this context, Jatiya Mahila Matsyajibi Diwas 2025 was celebrated on 26 December 2025 at Kultali, Sundarban, West Bengal. The programme was organised by ICAR-CIFRI in collaboration with National Fisheries Development Board and Kultali Milon Tirtha Society, with a strong focus on women empowerment and sustainable fisheries livelihoods. The event was inaugurated by the DDG (Fisheries), ICAR, along with senior officials from ICAR-CIFRI and NFDB. Marut Drones raises $6.2M to scale agricultural drone innovation and empower rural reach. Hyderabad-based Marut Dronetech has secured $6.2 million in Series A funding led by Lok Capital. This new capital will drive the development of custom agricultural drones, expansion of service networks in tier II-III cities, and the launch of “Drone-as-a-Service” hubs.
