Social security is completely insolvent despite 15% of every person’s salary across the economy going to it. It’s literally empty. You really want these morons to figure out how to take more?
Today, Elon Musk, a trillionaire, pays the same amount into Social Security as someone making $184,500. If we end that absurdity and lift the cap on taxable income, we can make Social Security solvent for 75 years and expand benefits by $2,400. My Social Security bill does that.

It's kind of amazing that for 2 years roving gangs of leftists walked around society tearing down public monuments and lighting things on fire, and it got absorbed into the background of society and treated as though it were just another unremarkable feature of everyday life.

dems in 2019: a teenager made a smug face. lets ruin his life dems in 2026: it's just a nazi tattoo ok. it's just a little freaking nazi tattoo he got as a 22 year old infant. get over it
To everyone so eager to cancel someone for a tattoo they got at age 22, a drunk text, a selfie they took in the middle of a mental health crisis: Show us your laptop. Show us your iCloud. Open your entire digital life to your worst enemy. No context. No filter. No explanation. You won’t. You won’t because you know what I know. Any one of us, frozen at our worst moment, photographed in our lowest hour, looks like a monster. Looks like a stranger. Looks like someone who deserves to be cast out. That is not who we are. My mom and baby sister were killed in a car accident when I was just a kid. Cancer took my brother Beau, my best friend and my rock. I battled alcoholism. I battled addiction. I chose the coward’s way out more times than I can count. For years I believed the defining chapters of my life were written by tragedy, loss, and shame. I no longer believe that. Pain can shape us. Loss can humble us. Failures can leave scars that never fully fade. But none of them have the authority to define us. And it sure as hell ain’t the critic that counts. That authority belongs to us alone-the person in the arena. Every setback presents a choice. Play the victim, or cut the bullshit and take ownership for who we become next. Life does not determine our character. It reveals it. Again and again we are asked the same question. When shit happens, what next? We are not defined by what happened to us. We are not defined by the worst photo, the worst text, the worst tattoo, the worst night. We are defined by the person we choose to become. And by the courage to choose that person, every single day. So before you reach for the gavel - show us your laptop. You won’t. The whole world saw mine. And I am still here. Still becoming. Still choosing. Still standing. That is the only definition that matters.

It’s very funny to me that for as smart as Anthropic allegedly is, they completely forgot about the possibility of the chud veto
Three months ago, @DeptofWar kicked @AnthropicAI out of our building—forever. Every passing day proves why that was the right move. 🇺🇸

I am 52 years old. I have been working since I was 15 years old. I have no savings, no retirement, and will never own a home before I die. And there is now a trillionaire.

There's a lot of bizarre math going around, fantasizing various ways to steal Elon's money. Reality very rarely intrudes on these formulas. All are driven (you won't be surprised to hear me say) by the false theory of Equality, which says that since people are Equal in being, they ought to be equal in fact.
Elon Musk is now a trillionaire. More specifically, his net worth is $1.2 trillion or $1200 billion. That number doesn’t even compute for most of us, so here is some helpful context: The USDA needs $18.8 billion to feed every child in the US school system breakfast and lunch each day. Elon could pay for that 64x and still have money leftover. The World Food Program needs $13 billion to feed the 110 million hungriest people on earth. Elon could pay for that 92x and still have money leftover. The National Alliance to End Homelessness needs $9.6 billion to provide housing for every unhoused person in the United States. Elon could pay for that 125x and still have money leftover. The average American teacher makes $74,495 per year. Elon could pay the annual salary of over 16 million teachers and still have money leftover. The problem is not that we don’t have enough money. The problem is that we have built a world where one person can accumulate more wealth than the GDP of 180 countries while children go hungry, families drown in medical debt, teachers are forced to buy school supplies for their students, and people sleep on the streets. This is a complete moral failure.

Of course a person who bores termite-like at the guardrails that prevent a descent into normalized political violence is himself susceptible to the very arguments he himself makes against others -- the world is better without such people alive within it. But it's not for me to make such arguments. If only someone would.

Again for those in the back, Elon once offered to cut a check for $6 BILLION to the WFB to "eliminate World hunger" as they said the money could. His one condition was that the accounting was public. They did not accept.
Elon Musk dismantled USAID programs that provided lifesaving assistance to millions of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people. The human cost was enormous, while DOGE’s net fiscal impact was inconsequential. Now, as Musk approaches trillionaire status, he should commit/tithe at least $100 billion to a fund dedicated to combating extreme poverty, hunger, preventable disease, and humanitarian crises worldwide. Money alone cannot undo the damage already done. But if this moment marks an unprecedented personal financial milestone, it should also be an opportunity for an unprecedented act of restitution. Musk has the resources to save and improve countless lives. He should use them.

Day 2: the unsolicited advertisement is still there and @tmobile tells me it is my job to call someone to remove it. Apparently there is literally no way they can communicate from corporate to the people who corporate pays.
Dear @TMobile someone employed by you put marketing materials in my yard on a stake and my HOA doesn’t allow signage so they’re going to ask me to remove it but I didn’t put it there or ask for it so I’ll die first. Your move.
