@TheLancet launched the anti-vaccine movement, the anti-agriculture movement, the anti-capitalist movement, the anti-woman movement & the anti-Israel movement. They openly advocate for the redistribution of wealth, the state control of the means of production, the erasure of women & communism. They do so proudly. And now, they’ve closed the loop by becoming a propaganda outlet for an organization that literally massacred a bunch of kids at a dance festival. How they can be considered a credible medical journal is beyond the pale. I’m not sure they will ever recover from these travesties. Quite frankly, any medical institution that continues supporting this nonsense is complicit.

Join me in once again calling for the resignation of @TheLancet editor Richard Horton. Publishing a petition calling for the boycott of the Israeli Medical Association is an absolute disgrace. Medicine should bring physicians together in service of patients, not weaponize professional organizations for political campaigns. Just as it failed the public on the #COVID19 origins debate, The Lancet is again positioning itself as a political actor rather than a medical journal.
