VIDEO | Here’s what Civil Surgeon Dr Surender Yadav said after a boiler blast in Haryana’s Rewari.
“We received information about a boiler blast at a factory and immediately sent an ambulance to the site. 23 patients are admitted to our hospital and they are in stable condition. One patient was seriously injured, so he was referred to a hospital in Rohtak.”

2023 was an eventful year for us. We assisted 1900 workers, opened our 4th Worker Assistance Centre, expanded our reports to include data on 20 auto sector brands in 6 states, continued engaging with the automobile brands, and much more...

In India, do we need similar stronger legislation to strengthen the position of affected people, i.e., injured workers in the brands' supply chains to be able to file complaints or will brands voluntarily strengthen their mechanisms?

@SafeInIndia1 has been recommending to auto sector brands to expand the scope of grievance redressal mechanisms to include their suppliers and workers across their supply chain to report unsafe work conditions. But most brands continue to not include suppliers' workers.
