I have a bit of a list, I think: - More #SciComm'ers - More funding - More education I probably rank funding at the top because it can create change for the rest of the industry. #SciCommChat

#promotion of #SciComm and sciomm-ers πŸ™‚πŸ™‚
Okay team, so I've been thinking about this and want to give y'all a space to promote your own #SciComm. With that in mind, I'm creating this #SciCommChat community with the hopes that you can use it to promote yourselves. Here's a link to join: x.com/i/communities/14939671…

3/ Coauthor of the paper said "I was surprised that it [research] matched a lot of the stereotypes that we think we have in our heads" We asked - if your biases are confirmed by your research, are you sure the research has proven you right? Or have you influenced your research?

4/ What say you folks? Are the behavioural differences of men and women down to the structure of the brain or are there major cultural, geographical & other contributions that are in play? What about good fathers?

Someone's doing the reading of the day! This chapter clearly shows how #science can be manipulated to confirm personal bias. Very happy that @Sulochana97 has proposed this read!

Emails went out on Monday for the reading of this week's #scbjclub meet-up. It is a gripping read! Sorry we cannot share it openly but if you'd like to join we're reading chapter 4 from Angela Saini's book Inferior. An amazing pursuit of #science to battle gender misconceptions!

2/ The whole book is a gem actually. It brings up questions as to why "soft skills" in science are quite genderised & we invite all our members & followers to prove how there is a paradigm shift & how to be in #scicomm is truly gender-inclusive πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½
