When we started Fretless, Unity did not support aseprite files—it does now 🙏 We found amazing tools by @Seanba_ and @thorbjorn81 which afforded rapid iteration of animations and tile maps. Huge TY! @TiledApp #Tiled2Unity #leveldesign #workflow #indiedev #gamedev #indiedev

I’m breaking a long Twitter silence to say the new Naked Gun movie is surprisingly very good. I can’t believe it but they actually pulled it off.

That one programmer in Goldeneye who types franticly with one hand is the worst.
Whenever there's a film featuring any profession/hobby all I can think the whole time I'm watching is like, so are people within this hobby totally unable to enjoy this as a film because of petty things it gets wrong. The better the film the funnier it is to think about

My Canadian father’s favorite insult, which I can’t repeat verbatim, was a rhetorical question to men about squatting while urinating. I think this poll would finish him.

Back in 94 the local BB (which no way had 7000 titles) sent a collection agency after me for movies I had returned, on time, a month prior.

Blockbuster stores were required to have at least 7,000 movies. Many had closer to 10,000. Netflix has averaged ~3,000 movies for the last several years. At the peak Netflix had like 5,000.

I get that nostalgia is powerful and many idealize a time gone by that never existed but stanning for Blockbuster is a bit too much I think.

I think graphic programmers made a deal with the devil that grants them the intelligence to understand complex mathematics but at the cost of never being able to use consistent indenting in their shader code.

One thing I always always always do is make sure the QA folks in my life know I see them as a fellow game developer. It’s not open to debate.

This sucks. I spent 5 years working on an MMO game that was shut down a year after ship. No one can ever play it again and it drives me nuts when I think about it.
‘CRATER’, starring Mckenna Grace and Kid Cudi, has been removed from Disney due to cost-cutting reasons. The film just released on Disney on May 12.

Teenage me would have have been overjoyed I could own this game for less than $400 and disgusted that middle age me isn’t rushing out to buy it.

When I was 12yo my mom signed up for a computer programming night class and got special permission for me to go too. I think of that every Mother’s Day.

What Wikipedia did: we stood strong for our principles and fought to the Supreme Court of Turkey and won. This is what it means to treat freedom of expression as a principle rather than a slogan.
