I remember hearing the news coming through and my heart just broke, two railway family members who never came home and a member of the public who never got to go home either.
5 years on safety has improved but there is still a long way to go, the HSTs are overdue for retirement
Today is the fifth anniversary of the tragic derailment at Carmont, when we lost our colleagues Brett McCullough and Donald Dinnie, and passenger Christopher Stuchbury.
Our thoughts are with their friends, families, and everyone across the railway family affected by
the tragedy.
We will never forget.
