Today @sparkcapital is co-leading the $100m seed in @radixark with @Accel and partnering alongside many of our other friends across the venture community: A bet on @ying11231 , @BanghuaZ, and the @lmsysorg , @sgl_project community, and on the idea that open infrastructure is how the next era of AI gets built.
Today, we are thrilled to officially launch RadixArk with $100M in Seed funding at a $400M valuation. The round was led by @Accel and co-led by @sparkcapital. RadixArk exists to make frontier AI infrastructure open and accessible to everyone. Today, the systems behind the most capable AI models are concentrated in a small number of companies. As a result, most AI teams are forced to rebuild training and inference stacks from scratch, duplicating the same infrastructure work instead of focusing on new models, products, and ideas. RadixArk was founded to change that. We are building an AI platform that makes it easier for teams to train and serve the best models at scale. RadixArk comes from the open-source community. We started with SGLang, where many of us are core developers and maintainers, and expanded our work to Miles for large-scale RL and post-training. We will continue contributing to both projects and working with the community to make them the strongest open-source infrastructure foundations for frontier AI. We would like to thank our long-term partners, contributors, and the broader SGLang community for believing in this mission. We're also grateful to @Accel and @sparkcapital, NVentures (Venture capital arm of @nvidia), Salience Capital, A&E Investment, @HOFCapital, @walden_catalyst, @AMD, LDVP, WTT Fubon Family, @MediaTek, Vocal Ventures, @Sky9Capital and our angel investors @ibab, @LipBuTan1, Hock Tan, @johnschulman2, @soumithchintala, @lilianweng, @oliveur, @Thom_Wolf, @LiamFedus, @robertnishihara, @ericzelikman, @OfficialLoganK, and @multiply_matrix among others. Thanks for the exclusive interview with @MeghanBobrowsky at @WSJ about our vision.

Last month proved that your security is only as strong as your weakest dependency. The attacks against Trivy, LiteLLM and axios showed that you can’t patch and scan your way out of a broken trust model. We took an ad out in the @BostonGlobe to share our POV.

So happy to have @sparkcapital co-leading the Series A in @conductor_build ! Can you believe 24 months ago coding w/AI meant github auto-complete? The way we work with software is an avalanche of change, from Co-pilot to Claude Code, and we are mid-revolution. This is not a think piece -- just use @conductor_build -- it's ridiculously good software, you'll see. There are preciously few times where you use a product, and every update feels like you are on the ride with people who are "sense-making" the edge of what is possible into things that are just head-smackingly simple and obvious -- once someone does them. That's @charlieholtz, jackson, and the team. They have that touch of creative technologists, this rare ability to internalize what we are all doing in vibe coding in ways we haven't even articulated yet, and giving it surface area. So excited to be on the ride with them!
Big news for @conductor_build! We've raised a $22m Series A from Spark and Matrix. We raised this round from @ilyasu at Matrix, who also led our seed round and is joining our board, @nabeel at Spark, @ycombinator, and founders of Notion and Linear. We're grateful to be working with investors we trust and admire. Here’s how we got here and where we’re going:

@latent_health is one of the biggest and most strategic opportunities in healthcare, sitting in between providers, payors, patients, and pharma and $200B of pharma spend. @sparkcapital is delighted to support Rish and Sri and this consequential company and to work with @saranormous and Mike Dixon.
Excited to share that Latent has raised $80M to build the clinical reasoning engine that closes the gap between diagnosis and treatment. This round is co-led by @sparkcapital and @transformcptl, with participation from @Conviction, @MCK_Ventures, @generalcatalyst, and @ycombinator. For the first time, AI makes it possible to reason through patient data, interpret drug criteria, extract key evidence, and orchestrate clinical workflows at scale. Latent is that reasoning layer. Today, over 45 of the top U.S. health systems, including Yale New Haven Health, UCSF Health, UCLA Health, Mount Sinai Health System, and Vanderbilt University Medical System all use Latent to perform high-stakes clinical knowledge work. We've helped over 2 million patients access life-saving medications faster and reduced denials by more than 30%. We're expanding our clinical reasoning engine across every process where clinical knowledge must be translated into action, and building a team to match the scale of the problem.

The @MatXComputing team is ambitiously building the compute infrastructure for our AGI future. It’s been a pleasure working with @reinerpope, @MikeGunter_ , and the team this past year. Incredible milestone and the best is still ahead.
We’re building an LLM chip that delivers much higher throughput than any other chip while also achieving the lowest latency. We call it the MatX One. The MatX One chip is based on a splittable systolic array, which has the energy and area efficiency that large systolic arrays are famous for, while also getting high utilization on smaller matrices with flexible shapes. The chip combines the low latency of SRAM-first designs with the long-context support of HBM. These elements, plus a fresh take on numerics, deliver higher throughput on LLMs than any announced system, while simultaneously matching the latency of SRAM-first designs. Higher throughput and lower latency give you smarter and faster models for your subscription dollar. We’ve raised a $500M Series B to wrap up development and quickly scale manufacturing, with tapeout in under a year. The round was led by Jane Street, one of the most tech-savvy Wall Street firms, and Situational Awareness LP, whose founder @leopoldasch wrote the definitive memo on AGI. Participants include @sparkcapital, @danielgross and @natfriedman’s fund, @patrickc and @collision, @TriatomicCap, @HarpoonVentures, @karpathy, @dwarkesh_sp, and others. We’re also welcoming investors across the supply chain, including Marvell and Alchip. @MikeGunter_ and I started MatX because we felt that the best chip for LLMs should be designed from first principles with a deep understanding of what LLMs need and how they will evolve. We are willing to give up on small-model performance, low-volume workloads, and even ease of programming to deliver on such a chip. We’re now a 100-person team with people who think about everything from learning rate schedules, to Swing Modulo Scheduling, to guard/round/sticky bits, to blind-mated connections—all in the same building. If you’d like to help us architect, design, and deploy many generations of chips in large volume, consider joining us.

Congrats to Q.ai on the acquisition by Apple, the second largest in their history. In 2022, Aviad cold emailed out of the blue. He barely even told me what he was up to. But from the very first call it was obvious I had met a force of nature, and a kindred spirit. These folks have really made magic, oh how I wish this wasn't in stealth so you all could see. But with Aviad & team inside of Apple, the magic is sure to hit us all soon enough. @sparkcapital are so happy to have had the chance to partner with them. $400M Series F | $9B valuation 🚀 Here’s why this is fuel for what’s next here at @cyera_io 👇 AI’s first wave showed what’s possible with public data. The next wave is about what AI can do with enterprise data. As agentic AI scales, systems are already acting at a pace humans never could - creating exponentially more data, decisions, and therefore risk. The challenge isn’t building AI, it’s making it secure enough to run everywhere. Legacy security wasn’t built for this. Traditional controls are blind to how AI uses data, forcing enterprises to choose between slowing innovation or accepting risk. ✨ Cyera is built to change that, securing AI holistically across data, access, and models, so organizations can move fast without losing control. This funding supports the next chapter of our mission: extending our core strength in securing data to unlock enterprise AI adoption at scale. But the real engine behind it is our team - the builders, operators, marketers, and partners working at Cyera speed every day to create what doesn’t yet exist! 🔗 Read more from our CEO, @yotamseg, on what’s next for Cyera: cyera.com/blog/fuel-for-what…

Of all the directions we could point AI, accelerating scientific discovery and collapsing years of research into days feels among the most profound. Excited to be backing @SGRodriques , @andrewwhite01, and the entire @EdisonSci team. For those who are mission-aligned, joining Edison could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; and the good news is they’re hiring! edisonscientific.com/careers

Science is too slow. At Edison, we are integrating AI Scientists into the full stack of research, from basic discovery to clinical trials. We want cures for all diseases by mid-century. We have raised a $70M seed to get started. Join us. We need cracked software engineers who want to work on finding cures rather than selling ads and generating slop. If you’re reading this, you’re probably a candidate. We need brilliant AI researchers who want to figure out how AI will accelerate real-world science. We need scientists and researchers with deep expertise in biology, biotech, and pharma who want to figure out how to integrate AI deeply into scientific workflows, from ideation to experimentation, and how to measure success or failure. We need extraordinarily talented generalist operators across BD, sales, product management, and partnerships who can focus on getting our tools into the hands of pharmaceutical companies. If any of these roles sound like you, get in touch. We are also expanding access to our platform. Our goal is to accelerate science writ large. To that end, we will continue to give academics and students 650 credits/mo indefinitely. I can’t promise we’ll keep this up forever, but we will try. Kosmos will still cost 200 credits, and the other agents (Analysis, Literature, etc.) will cost 1 or 2 credits. All paid users will have access to our regular agents, like our Analysis agent, Literature agent, and so on, for free via the UI. API access will still be paid, and users without a paid subscription will continue to get 10 credits per month for those agents. Our $200/mo subscription for 650 credits/mo is staying in place for now, but might be phased out at our next major product update. Along the lines of accelerating science, we’re also doing a major release of PaperQA today, our flagship open source literature agent, as part of our commitment to open science. In the short run, expect major improvements to Kosmos, including the ability to automatically access data, the ability to steer its exploration, and the ability to converse directly with its world model. In the long run, expect exponentially increasing rates of scientific discoveries, in biology and elsewhere. Our round is led by Triatomic Capital, Spark Capital, and a major US institutional biotech investor. We are also joined in this round by existing investors Pillar VC and Susa Ventures, two exceptional early-stage funds who backed us at founding, along with Striker Venture Partners, Hawktail VC, Olive VC, and a host of exceptional angels that includes famous AI researchers, the CEOs of multiple frontier AI labs, and leadership of major biotech and pharma companies.

The web was designed for humans. It now has a new customer: AIs. And when there’s a new customer, everything changes. Search for humans is about ranking URLs for humans to click. Search for AI is about maximizing the ability of the agent to do its best work. In other words, it's about giving an AI “perfect” context, which is our most powerful lever to change what a base model does. To do this, the web and search needs to be re-designed: from crawling, indexing, ranking algorithms — to even content monetization schemes. This is an enormous project — one that takes audacity, brilliance to play at the frontier, and an indomitable spirit. We’ve found these qualities in @paraga and the entire @p0 team and we're thrilled @sparkcapital to partner with them as they build the web for the age of AI.
