SpaceX's 1st employee Tom Mueller @lrocket on the chart showing Raptor's design progress: "It was amazing." "It took 3 versions of Merlin to get it to be really tight, and it took 3 versions also of Raptor." "It takes 3 iterations to get to a really, really tight product."

New (enhanced) design uses ATtiny85 to cut power to MOSFET pins for ultra-low power operation w/ servos. Using a 4-layer board w/ power plane divided out into switched & non-switched section. Thoughts? @MicrochipTech

Ali Spagnola has taken another big challenge. This time, she decided to build a life-size lion out of trash - specifically, a massive pile of cardboard boxes leftover from moving. 📦🦁1/3

Religion is about belief; spirituality is about experience; but reality is about becoming. Don't just experience peace in doses; become Peace carriers. The goal of life isn't just to have wealth or knowledge, but to transform your basal nature into divinity.

Oregon is a pretty interesting choice by SemiAnalysis. Also, keep an eye peeled out for what's happening at D1X.
Excited to announce the SemiAnalysis Teardown Engineering & Evaluation Lab (STEEL) We have been building a state-of-the-art teardown lab in Oregon with $10s of millions Capex being spent capable of analyzing the world’s most advanced and important chips and process technologies over the last year and half. We have already generated revenue on advanced datacenter chip teardowns. This is a bit of inconvenient timing for TechInsights as they are private equity owned and currently being sold while having enjoyed virtually no credible competition for decades. This has led to TechInsights underinvesting in CAPEX. SemiAnalysis exceeds TechInsights in revenue despite no venture or private equity ownership and being founded only 6 years ago. Because we have no external investors and are founder led, we move faster, build faster, and we can release client chip teardowns for free regularly, while focusing on datacenter for our major clients. STEEL has a state of the art fleet of tools. We are less than a year and half into the journey here, but our goal is to be number 1 just like we are in AI, Datacenter, and Semiconductor market data, consulting, and technically analysis. Our largest customers which, include all of the hyperscalers and world's largest semiconductor companies, are excited for us to shake up the market.

SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell just laid out the official launch roadmap for Starship, and the cadence is about to go vertical Here's the timeline: • Flight 13: Launch is roughly a month away • Flight 14: The big one. SpaceX intends to attempt a full orbital injection • Post-Flight 14 Cadence: SpaceX plans to transition to an unprecedented launch rate of flying every single month Shotwell confirmed they expect Starship to be fully operational in orbit by the end of this year. The regulatory approval from the FAA remains the primary bottleneck, but the manufacturing and engineering pipeline is completely locked in

I wish there were more supply chain conferences like this in the Bay Area that I could bring my kid to visit. When I was a student, I went to a few expos and conferences like this that later inspired me to become an engineer. Nothing excites you more than seeing machines making machines.
High precision sensors and configurable little machines. Feels like the software of hardware.

This moment goes by largely unnoticed by many. For an on site worker like that to walk up to Elon and give words of encouragement with an embrace shows that the worker’s relationship is close enough to embrace him and that he has seen Elon struggle at moments mentally/emotionally. This was not some dude in a suit in a board room but a guy out there doing the hard work. It shows where Elon spends much of his time. In the trenches. That’s the CEO I want in companies I invest in. Hence why I’m all-in. $TSLA $SPCX
About 5 years ago, Elon was giving @Erdayastronaut a tour of the Starbase launchpad. A worker at the site walks up, hugs him, and says: “We’re going to make it.” He’s probably a millionaire now.

Elon Musk announced a chip factory 10 times the size of Tesla's Gigafactory. The goal is to produce enough AI compute to equal twice the entire electricity consumption of the United States. He called it the Terafab. Here is the number that stopped me cold. The entire global AI chip industry right now is on track to hit around 100 gigawatts per year of compute. Every Nvidia GPU, every Google TPU, every chip from every company on earth combined. 100 gigawatts. Musk wants one factory to produce a terawatt per year. A terawatt is 1,000 gigawatts. Ten times the output of the entire global industry. From a single building. To put the scale in physical terms, the Terafab would need to be around 100 million square feet. You would need Starship point to point transport just to get from one end to the other. But the reason for the scale is not ambition for its own sake. To launch meaningful AI compute into space, you need a billion chips per year running at a kilowatt each. That is not a number the current industry can produce. The Terafab is the only way to get there. The timeline he put out: a gigawatt of space AI compute annualized by end of next year. Then 10x per year from there. 10 gigawatts by year two. 100 gigawatts by year three. A terawatt beyond that. Most people think orbital data centers are a decade away. Musk is building the factory to make them possible by next year.

$ASTS: My core long-term position is shares, however for my trading position sometimes I trade options and/or levered ETFs. I NEVER USE MARGIN NOR SHOULD YOU. Leveraged ETFs should never be held over a long period of time. Happy Friday
$ASTS: NGL, surprised at the magnitude of the drawdown today. I expected there to be potentially some pullback from yesterday's ramp, but for the stocks to give back all and more is interesting. There's lots of theories as to why the big move today, but none that seem to make sense. I did load pretty heavy on upside all day. Never a dull day being an investor in space stocks!
