📍On 18 November 2016, the
#Modi Govt told
#Parliament that the cost of each
#Rafale would be ₹670 crore.
📍On 31 December 2016, Dassault Aviation's annual report revealed that the actual price paid for each of the 36 aircraft was about ₹1,600 crore, more than twice what the
#Modi Govt of India had said it was.
📍On 13 March 2017, Parrikar resigned as Defence Minister.

📍On 13 March 2018, a PIL was filed in the
#SupremeCourt which asked the
#Modi Govt to disclose the transaction cost, and also asked Why the Cabinet's approval was not sought as part of the Defence Procurement Procedure before signing the Procurement deal with
#France on 23 September 2016.
📍On 22 September 2018, Former French President Hollande was quoted in an interview as saying that it was the
#Modi Govt that had insisted on Dassault Partnering with
#AnilAmbani for Rafale.
📍The next day, 23 September, Hollande confirmed what he had said, and added that the name of
#Reliance appeared as part of a 'New Formula' by the
#Modi Govt after it came to power.
📍On 10 October 2018, the
#SupremeCourt asked the
#Modi Govt to file in a 'Sealed Cover', details of the Rafale Agreement.
⚠️ On 23 October 2018, at 2 a.m. in the morning, Modi divested
#CBI Chief Alok Verma of his powers, apparently after he showed interest in filing an FIR on the Rafale matter.
📍On 12 November 2018, the Union gave the pricing details in a 'Sealed Cover'.
📍On 14 December 2018, the
#SupremeCourt dismissed all petitions asking the CBI to file an FIR in the deal. The bench, headed by CJI
#RanjanGogoi.
📍On 2 January 2019, Jaswant Sinha, Arun Shourie and Prashant Bhushan moved Court seeking a review of the 14 December Judgement.
📍On 10 January 2019, the
#SupremeCourt reinstated
#CBI chief Alok Verma.
⚠️ The next day, the
#Modi Govt transferred him out of the
#CBI and into the Fire Services.
📍On 14 November 2019, the
#SupremeCourt dismissed the review pleas and said there was No Need for an FIR.
