GAVIN BAKER: “A month ago, @SpaceX did not have a cloud computing business. Now by some measures, it is the fourth largest cloud ahead of Oracle — and they did that in 1 month. Let's see what they do in a year.
“A really important variable for SpaceX is how many gigawatts can they bring on over the next few years because they are monetizing these gigawatts of terrestrial compute at a very high rate.
“Then, when are we reusing Starship such that we could put Starlink V3 satellites up into space, enable direct to cell, and then orbital compute soon after?
“There is a path here as a as a public company, with a series of events and milestones that investors can use to track the company's progress.”
SpaceXAI will provide @AnthropicAI with access to Colossus 1, one of the world’s largest and fastest-deployed AI supercomputers, to provide additional capacity for Claude → x.ai/news/anthropic-compute-…
We’ve agreed to a partnership with @SpaceX that will substantially increase our compute capacity.
This, along with our other recent compute deals, means that we’ve been able to increase our usage limits for Claude Code and the Claude API.
Travis Kalanick is one of the greatest entrepreneurs of all time.
The bad guys took his company.
But they never broke his spirit.
He rebuilt from scratch.
And now he’s back.
The most obvious acquisition in all of tech is @Apple acquiring @WisprFlow
Please someone make it happen.
Siri dictation is possibly the worst thing Apple’s ever built.
Elon just single handily solved anyone confused about thinking of going for a PhD.
it didn’t make sense 10 years ago, it definitely doesn’t make sense today.
This false nomenclature of “researcher” and “engineer”, which is a thinly-masked way of describing a two-tier engineering system, is being deleted from @xAI today.
There are only engineers.
Researcher is a relic term from academia.
“If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.”
Satoshi wrote that 15 years ago today.
It took some time, but there are hundreds of millions of people that get it now.
There is “I fucked up”
And there is “I built an app and accidentally leaked the drivers licenses of thousands of women on the internet” level of fucked up

So true. Windsurf and others are really bad examples of founders leaving their teams behind and not even sharing the proceeds with their team. I definitely would not work with their founders next time.
“There's an unspoken covenant that as a founder, you go down with the ship.
For better or worse, it's changed a bit over the last year and I think it's disappointing, to be honest.”
Enough said. This show is everything and more on:
- What really happened behind the scenes
- Did Google leave behind a treasure of an asset
- How was the deal structured
- How Cursor and Cognition deal with ever increasing reliance on Anthropic
