#Karnataka Govt of Karnataka has ordered an inquiry into the Sir Syed Ahmed Khan Study and Research Centre after allegations that the institution remained non-functional for nearly 10 years despite receiving ₹4 crore annually since 2016. Following a PIL by activist Mohammad Wazir Baig, the Karnataka High Court directed the government to examine the grievances. The probe will scrutinise fund utilisation and allegations against officials. The government has also announced relocation of the Centre to Haj Bhavan and an MoU with the National Law School. Notably, Minority Affairs portfolios during this period were held by @TanveerSaitINC (2016–18) and @BZZameerAhmedK (2018–19, 2023–26). Critics allege the Sir Syed Study Centre’s failure deprived thousands of minority students of research opportunities. Why was no corrective action taken for nearly a decade despite continuous funding? Isn't this a systematic betrayal to the poor and deserving minority students?
