Here mostly for investing ideas, rarely have my own, crib from others. A sucker for biotech. Sometimes I hate on Trump so stay away if that offends.

I strongly disagree. UFC fighters are not analogous to American revolutionaries, soldiers who died at Normandy, FDNY first responders on 9/11, and civil rights protesters. On a continuum, UFC lands far closer to gladiatorial spectacle than to the brave men and women who actually fought (and still fight) for our freedom.

First black 4 star General in US Military history who flew 179 combat missions in 2 wars for this nation. We all know why Hegseth is doing this and what he’s in the service of. We need to name it in our politics and stop hiding behind polite euphemisms.
Hegseth removed Chappie James's portrait from the Air Force Art Gallery and left the wall empty. James flew 179 combat missions across two wars. First Black four-star general in US military history. Curry passed that portrait every day for a decade. When it came down, he retired. The wall is still empty.

At this point I find it hard to believe that $ABVX investors are just not 'getting' the story. I think the move down was so drastic, and self-reinforcing, that it simply removed many investors that would invest in a precommercial biotech from the bid and they might not even be able to come back if they wanted. Should not effect bids from BP and might even encourage those.
So $abvx quietly updated corporate deck with the case by case breakdown this afternoon. ir.abivax.com/news-and-event… No surprises, everything that has been shared already by either some of us or sellside, but would’ve appreciated some better messaging from the co than just dropping it on a Friday afternoon in the appendix of an updated corporate deck and letting investors just figure it out themselves.

President Obama did not walk out of our 2012 satellite interview. He was visibly frustrated when I repeated my Benghazi question after he ducked it. And his team did try to tell us our time was up. But I kept asking questions and he didn't walk out.
Replying to @ThomBrady5
Barack Obama has ended interviews, most notably walking off a 2012 live satellite interview with Denver reporter Kyle Clark. Frustrated by repeated questions about whether the military could have helped during the Benghazi attack, Obama dismissed the line of questioning as a political "gotcha" game and disengaged from the conversation. While he has frequently cut off reporters during press scrums for interrupting him or asking questions out of turn, the 2012 Clark incident remains the primary instance of him abruptly terminating a scheduled interview due to friction over the subject matter. Or, if the "reporters" weren't of the here's a softball type he just didn't permit the interviews.
Community note
President Obama did not walk out of this 2012 interview. After Kyle Clark asked about the Benghazi attack, Obama provided a detailed response regarding his directives during the incident and then remained to answer further questions about stimulus money and Abound Solar. presidency.ucsb.edu/documents/inte…

During his second term, Trump will have cut 2 of the US most powerful innovation and wealth creation engines: 1. skilled legal immigration 2. (non-defense) research budgets We won't see the effect of this immediately, but in 10 years it will be obvious... and it will take at least another decade to rebuild 😢 A sad day for the US.
An alien who is in the U.S. temporarily and wants a Green Card must return to their home country to apply. This policy allows our immigration system to function as the law intended instead of incentivizing loopholes. The era of abusing our nation’s immigration system is over.

I’ve been saved by a community note. I was so ready to repeat this “fact” at my next family gathering because it sounded so true. Alas, not true.
Given that Red Delicious are the worst apples, have you ever wondered why they’re in every school cafeteria? It’s because there’s a list of "approved" apple varieties allowed in schools, and it hasn’t changed since Kmart sold firearms.
Community note
The USDA publishes an annual list of apple varieties available to schools through its program, including modern options like Fuji, Gala, Honeycrisp, Empire, Granny Smith, and Red Delicious; it does not restrict schools from purchasing or serving other varieties commercially. fns.usda.gov/usda-fis/foods…

LET THIS SINK IN—the U.S. now has no confirmed CDC director, no FDA commissioner, no Surgeon General, an NIH director with no medical license, and the last Acting CDC Director was a George Bush speechwriter. In fact—the only doctor/scientist we have in the White House is… Dr Oz.

This is how extremist spaces evaporate. The least extreme person defects and is pushed out, leaving the remaining members more extreme on average, increasing the incentive for the next defection.

Doctors say that a Vitamin K injection given at birth saves hundreds of lives. A guy who snorts cocaine off toilet seats and takes raccoon penises home for "further study" says the injection creates mitochondrial challenges. For busy parents, it can be hard to know who to trust.

I think it very possible that for the first week ever $BMNR did not sell any of its shares. The cash draw-down staking rewards can completely account for the weekly reported change in ETH holdings.

It always drives me crazy when people lionize investors, great or otherwise, by citing all the things they got right without reporting all the things they have also gotten wrong. I will never forget when PTJ was on CNBC in late March 2020 confidently saying that the worst case scenario for Covid deaths would be about 40k. He was pretty dismissive of every fact of that day that it would be FAR higher. He was wrong by a factor of 20? Yes he is far richer than me so a better investor I’m sure but he is no oracle.
My guest today is Paul Tudor Jones (@ptj_official), one of the greatest macro traders of all time. He correctly predicted the 1987 stock market crash and shorted the Japanese bubble in 1990. For over 40 years, his flagship fund has had a negative correlation to the S&P 500. 100% of his returns are alpha. He says today's market has so many similarities to 2000, "the easiest bear market I've ever seen in my whole life." He makes the case for going long dollar-yen, why Bitcoin beats gold as an inflation hedge, and why he was wrong about Warren Buffett. But what I'll remember most from this conversation is Paul's zest for life. He's 71 and still wakes at 2:30 every morning to trade the London open. He works out for two hours a day. He walks with his wife every evening. He travels the country chasing peak spring and peak fall. He's so excited about the songs picked for his funeral that he wishes he could be there to hear them. Paul has lived five lifetimes in one. He's one of the most entertaining and interesting people I've met, and the conversation will leave you searching to be as passionate about what you do as he is about what he does. Enjoy! One of the Sandy Hook families lives in hiding 1500 mi away from their baby’s grave due to people stalking them. The graves of multiple children have been defaced. One of the fathers had to submit DNA evidence to prove his son was a REAL HUMAN BEING after Alex Jones’ book said he never existed.
