O MSX tem algumas cartas na manga. Alguns jogos conseguem explorá-las muito bem. Por exemplo, o jogo F1 Spirit tem um pequeno efeito 3D nas placas laterais da pista, simplesmente aproveitando o fato de que no MSX cada 1/3 da tela pode ter um gráfico diferente para um mesmo tile. Assim o efeito sai “de graça” e engana muito bem
