On the other hand, we would be wasting millions & millions of liters of water just to grow ethanol's raw materials - rice, maize and sugarcane. Using 10,790 liters of water for rice cultivation would yield just 1 liter of ethanol !! So what is the rationale in enforcing this ethanol petrol policy ?
