Cancer outcomes change dramatically when it is detected early - yet for millions, timely screening and diagnosis remain out of reach. Where you live, what you earn, and how close you are to a health facility still determine when cancer is found. This is the gap that equity in cancer care must address. Across our #ACTForHealth portfolio organisations like @niramaianalytix , @NavyaCare , @periwinkletech and @atom_360 are using technology to push early detection closer to the last mile; enabling affordable screening for breast, cervical and oral cancers, and strengthening diagnosis and treatment through evidence-based clinical decision support. By embedding these innovations into frontline care and public health systems, early screening becomes possible not just in hospitals, but in communities - where it matters most. Detect early. Defeat early. #WorldCancerDay #CoFoundersOfSocialChange

Just like traffic, #mentalhealth struggles can slow us down — sometimes unexpectedly, sometimes persistently. At ACT, we believe mental healthcare should be as accessible as a mapped route — starting with recognizing the signs and knowing where to go for help. This #WorldMentalHealthDay, we celebrate the incredible organizations in our portfolio who are building pathways to quality and affordable care for underserved communities across Bharat: @wysabuddy: Making mental healthcare accessible through a vernacular, AI-powered chatbot that’s also available via WhatsApp. @evolveapp_: Enabling content, community, and coaching for LGBTQIA communities to provide queer-affirmative care at scale. Atman: Leveraging gamified content to embed preventive mental health support in government schools to build resilience among adolescents. @AdagioVr: Delivering immersive, VR-based mental healthcare for LGBTQI individuals to address stress, trauma, and more. Together, they’re driving India closer to a future where mental healthcare is accessible, affordable, and stigma-free for all. @rvemp @Jo4dev #MentalHealthMatters CoFoundersOfSocialChange ActForHealth

The onset of disease does not manifest with dramatic conditions such as cancer or heart attacks. It begins subtly, concealed within the minor signals of daily life. Disrupted sleep, gastrointestinal discomfort, persistent sugar cravings, unexplained weight fluctuations, chronic fatigue, and insufficient exposure to sunlight are not mere inconveniences. They are the body’s early warnings. The human body communicates its needs long before it succumbs to dysfunction. It seeks rest, genuine nourishment, sunlight, and equilibrium. This understanding drives growing interest in foundational health solutions, such as fulvic and humic acids, natural compounds that enhance cellular energy, nutrient absorption, gut health, and detoxification. Present in Vitalité Humalite, these substances replenish what modern lifestyles deplete, fortifying the body’s resilience before serious issues emerge. Health erodes gradually, yet it can be restored through the same incremental process, with small, intentional daily adjustments, mindful attention, and dedicated care. Heed the body’s whispers now. Take action today. Nourish profoundly. Begin modestly. Transform today. #HolisticHealth #PreventiveCare #FulvicAcid #HumicAcid #VitalitéHumalite #Wellness #CellularEnergy #Detoxification #GutHealth #TrueNourishment #BalancedLiving #NaturalHealth #DailyChanges #ListenToYourBody #ActForHealth

Women’s health has been overlooked for too long. But at ACT, we’ve had the privilege of working with innovators who are rewriting that story. We’re proud to back bold entrepreneurs building healthcare solutions that finally see and build for women. From early breast cancer detection using AI (Niramai Health Analytix), to non-invasive cervical screening (Periwinkle Technologies), to contextually adapted mental health support (Wysa), these startups are tackling problems that have been ignored for decades. In a recent conversation with A Mariyam Alavi of First Check, Krisha Mathur (Director, #ACTForHealth), Geetha Manjunath (Founder, Niramai Health Analytix), Veena Moktali (Co-founder, Periwinkle Technologies), and Ramakant Vempati (Co-founder, Wysa) shared their journeys, challenges, and hopes for the future of women’s healthcare. Globally, women live longer — but spend more years in poor health. In Bharat, that reality is sharpened by late diagnoses due to lack of accessible screening; limited time, mobility, and financial independence, especially in rural areas. In their new op-ed, Sowjanya Kanuri (Director, #ACTForWomen) and Krisha Mathur (Director, #ACTForHealth) explore how tech-led innovations, risk-tolerant capital, and strong public-private partnerships can collectively reshape the future of women’s health in India. From early screening breakthroughs to phygital health solutions, they argue that meaningful progress will require not just new tools — but also new ways of financing, scaling, and embedding these innovations within public health systems. This #WomensHealthDay, we’re asking a question that demands urgent attention: Why do many women delay seeking timely and quality healthcare? Lakshmi (name changed) is an example that comes to mind. Hailing from a small rural village, she powered through debilitating dizziness for weeks before seeking care. By the time she did, her pregnancy complications had become too serious to treat without consequence. Lakshmi’s story is one of too many that isn’t just about self-neglect. Women often put their health on hold - juggling responsibilities, prioritising family, and pushing through discomfort until a crisis forces them to seek care. But for millions of women from underserved communities in rural and remote areas in India, the situation is even more complicated. Quality #healthcare isn’t just deprioritised, it’s inaccessible and unaffordable. For them, breaking the proverbial glass to seek early intervention simply isn’t an option. At ACT, we believe that technology holds the key. From AI-powered early diagnostics that work in low-resource settings to telemedicine that bridges distance and cost, we’re focused on supporting cutting-edge #healthtech innovations that are built to reach the last mile; making affordable and inclusive care accessible for every woman, everywhere. Because quality healthcare is a universal right that should meet you where you are. #CoFoundersOfSocialChange #ACTForHealth #BuildingForBharat

At the @WorldHealthSmt Regional Meeting 2025, #ACTForHealth had the privilege of hosting the panel, 'From Bharat (India) to the World: Innovating for the Last Mile'. With insights from @nachiketmor (Economist, Commissioner, Lancet Commission), Ajay R Nair (CEO, Swasth Alliance), Anaita S. (Program Officer, Digital & AI, Gates Foundation India), @aaasandeep (Board Member, ACT | Avaana Capital), Karthik Adapa (Regional Advisor, Digital Health, World Health Organization SEARO), @geethamhp (Founder & CEO, Niramai Health Analytix), Chandrasekhar Nair (CTO, Molbio Diagnostics | Co-founder, Bigtec Labs), and Ramakant Vempati (Co-founder, Wysa), here’s what we took away: ⭐ A strong idea is just the start. In Bharat, conviction rooted in real user needs helps adapt to public systems, refine models, and stay the course. ⭐ Philanthropy can enable scale-ready innovation. Philanthropy can play a vital role in supporting early pilots, generating proof, and building government confidence for large-scale adoption. ⭐ Cross-disciplinary minds drive impact. Healthcare innovation thrives when healthcare, engineering, and social science come together. We need system-minded leaders who can build for the real world. ⭐ Building for Bharat is a marathon, not a sprint. Scaling through public systems isn’t a linear path and takes time. Founders need grit to navigate complexity; funders need patience to stay the course. ⭐ Open, integrable tech accelerates transformation. Open-source, interoperable tools designed for existing workflows are essential to scaling innovations within public systems. As ACT, we’re energised by the idea of fuelling this journey ahead and remain deeply committed to backing tech-first healthcare innovations that are building for Bharat, at scale. 🚀 #CoFoundersOfSocialChange #WorldHealthSummit2025 #WHSNewDelhi2025 #GlobalHealth #HealthForFuture
