this brings me pondering about why ai companies have absurd valuations and they are not having an economic impact.
the answer is simply that we are not smart enough to make the proper economic use of ai beyond a certain group of people coding.
the divergence between what ai can do and what we make ai do is drastic. millions of people are using ai majorly to automate linkedin, rant about relationships, generate absurd images i.e. hey @/grok remove her clothes, write content without thought, chatbots
we do not think using ai beyond writing; a critical cognitive human native skill which we are now dependent on ai. pathetic.
ai is to solve problems at a scale with hyperpersonalisation, and we use it as a replacement of our brain without even training/upbringing it.
when
@balajis said that ai is not artificial intelligence, but 'amplified intelligence', we was straight on right. ai does amplify, and most of the time it's stupidity.
even the product teams are going on the wrong paths trying to automate emails and whatsapp. brother if you can't even reply to a mail by yourself, maybe then it's not even important. stop with the clawdbot bs.
the rant can go on and on, but to sum it up, extremely few people are using ai to create actual economic value, rest are just using it as brain replacement.
god bless
Everyone is saying GPT-5.4 Pro is the smartest model, AGI-level intelligence, but do you have AGI-level questions to ask?
