NCL organised a four-day “Orientation and Introductory Sessions” programme for newly recruited Management Trainees of various disciplines and Executives inducted through selection from the Non-Executive cadre from 19th May to 22nd May 2026 at CETI, Singrauli.
The programme covered topics including an overview of Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries, vision and mission of NCL, operational areas, production and offtake performance, contribution towards the nation’s energy security, and future growth prospects.
The sessions also focused on various types of HEMMs used in mining operations and operational aspects of E&M disciplines, including HT/LT power systems, coal handling plants, mine dewatering systems, field equipment power supply systems, light vehicles, and electrical systems of colonies and office buildings.
Participants were also apprised of PSU classifications, delegated powers to PSUs, delegation of financial powers within NCL, applicability of manuals and guidelines related to estimation, tendering and award of works, HR perspective and organisational framework of CIL, along with marketing strategies and coal distribution mechanisms adopted by NCL.
As part of the programme, participants visited CWS, Jayant and Jayant Mine View Point and also experienced shovel operations on the Universal Simulator at CETI, Singrauli.
Around 21 participants attended the programme.
