From Lucknow to the stars, dreams do come true.
When Shubhanshu Shukla was a kid, he sat exactly where you are now, never imagining that one day he would be soaring in space. Yet, here he is, the first Indian to visit the International Space Station aboard the Axiom-4 mission.
During his two-week journey orbiting the Earth, he conducted over 60 scientific experiments and 20 outreach programs, gaining experiences no book or classroom could ever teach.
Speaking to the kids through the media, he said, "All the kids listening to this, I was once a kid sitting on the chair that you are sitting on. I never thought I would reach here and go to space."
He reminded everyone that space exploration isn’t just about one person.
"There are multiple layers to this, not just one person. It was the entire nation's mission," he shared, highlighting teamwork and the spirit of India’s growing space program.
Looking ahead, Shubhanshu spoke about dreaming bigger: "We have to move forward from one mission to another, from Gaganyaan to our own Indian space station. I want to dream and think we can make this happen."
“Even today, Bharat looks ‘saare jahan se accha’ from space (Even today, India looks the best in the world from space)," he shared at the end, a moment that captures both pride in our nation and the power of dreaming big.
