The governor is refusing federal funds to hungry children to score points with vile ignorant lunatics such as you

And getting food aid for Louisiana does not change that. If we don’t leverage it for our kids, it will simply be spent in another state. The problem you raise isn’t solved by Louisiana declining to participate.

We really appreciate your effort. It’s quite shocking to me but unfortunately not surprised. God watches us all. Thank u.

Why hasn't it been a bigger story that the families of 63% of Louisiana's children are unable to feed them?

Thank you for your efforts. We knew they would choose expanding gun rights over feeding our kids.

THANK you for trying. In addition to the humanity of food aid, it’s fiscal insanity to not leverage Louisiana federal tax dollars to obtain this food assistance. Landry’s just throwing free $$$ away, despite all of us here paying our federal taxes. SMH.

This is such a shockingly bad idea from all angles. Fiscal hawks should despise it.

Myself and @LABudgetProject want to thank you for coming and sharing the work with @InvestLouisiana. We look forward to ways we can collaborate and build on that work here in the great state of Louisiana.
Last fall, I got to participate in the Invest In Louisiana Policy Summit. A great opportunity to share the amazing work being done through the DC Infrastructure Academy.

No argument! @LABudgetProject made it look like the whole credit had expired. I only said inequitable because it decreases and completely disappears at fairly low household income rates. So my kids cost less/are worth less than those of someone who doesn’t earn as much as I do?

This is amazing! We at the @LABudgetProject worked hard to make this a reality. Shoutout to my former colleague @DanRMintz who made college hunger a priority for Louisiana! #lalege

What if people waited until they had spouses and jobs before having children? What if government helped people make the right decisions instead of only giving cash rewards to those who make the wrong ones?
