I admit I am thankful #4 is his age and this wasn't an issue pre-teen years. My issue is now it's all the time. 🤦🏼♀️ although it's not mindless it all has a #learningobjective at least he is child of a #simulationist. 🤣 #NotJustASimTech

Today's #learningobjective is cross-#border cooperation as well as multi-agency collaboration to effectively combat #trafficking.
In the context of large-scale #Migration flows in Central Asia, many vulnerable #refugees from neighbouring countries, including #Afghanistan, end up being trafficked. The lack of awareness of other agencies' roles and the differences in national practices result in such crimes being overlooked. Cooperation and information sharing between governmental and non-governmental stakeholders within and across borders are🔑to promptly identify and protect those at risk.
Given the complex nature of trafficking in persons, governments need to strengthen national inter-agency coordination and cross-border cooperation provisions in their #NationalActionPlans. Establishing focal points is also recommended to assist in resolving cross-border and cross-sectoral cooperation challenges and facilitate the adoption of multi-agency transnational approaches during investigations.
In the video📲 a trafficker is arrested at a border crossing, and social services assist his victim. A multi-agency raid leads to the arrest of a female trafficker and the identification of two victims of trafficking for forced #criminality.

1⃣/Today's #learningobjective is the prompt detection of presumed victims of #trafficking, a crucial step towards formal identification and immediate and long-term assistance.
Data shows that 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭% 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱, and far too few of those identified receive the services and support they need.
In most @OSCE participating States, individuals can only be formally identified as victims within the criminal justice system. The simulation, however, teaches victim identification skills to law enforcement and social service providers, giving state actors the tools to utilize the #socialpath approach in the #identification of potential victims. Such an approach can increase victims' trust in State #protection systems, improving victims' identification and creating stronger criminal prosecutions.
In this video🔽 #NGOS and social services teams talk to potential victims to confirm indications of trafficking and provide services.

If we want our Autistic students to meet SMART goals, we need to set them up for success with SMART instruction. Smart instruction is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound.
ALT Against a peach-coloured background, title text reads: In order to achieve SMART goals, Autistic students need SMART instruction. There is a round illustration of a girl sitting at a desk with some books looking confused. Branching off are 5 text boxes. The first one labelled S reads: SPECIFIC: Has the task been clearly communicated to the student, with each step articulated and in view for referral? The second box labelled M reads: MEASURABLE: Does the student know what output is expected of them and their options for delivering it? The third box labelled A reads: ACHIEVABLE: Does the student have the skills and accommodations they need to complete the task? The fourth box labelled R reads: RELEVANT: Has the real world context and relevance of the learning been explained to the student? The final box labelled T reads: TIME-BOUND: Has the instruction been given at a time when the student feels safe, well-regulated and able to attend? The Reframing Autism logo is in the bottom corner.
