#English Today, while transporting an injured person from the Tishreen Dam area, one of the Kurdish Red Crescent ( @HeyvaKurd ) ambulances was directly targeted by Turkish state drones. Fortunately, the team, consisting of a driver and a nurse, managed to transport the injured person and move away from the vehicle before it was targeted again and destroyed. This is not the first time that the Turkish state and its allied factions have targeted ambulances bearing the Logos of the International Red Crescent and Red Cross. As we published earlier one of Kurdish Red Crescents ambulance drivers lost his life while transporting an injured person from the Manbij area on December 10, 2024, and So far and according to the health department of northeast Syria, two healthcare workers lost their lives while transporting the injured, and three others have been wounded. According to international law, targeting the injured, paramedics, ambulances, and civilians constitutes a flagrant war crime. This is precisely what the Turkish state and its allied factions have been committing openly before the world since the beginning of the campaign targeting Manbij and its eastern countryside. Children and adolescents, including two teenagers, were bound by hands and feet and beaten daily. Medical examinations later revealed signs of binding, scars, and injuries from beatings on their skin. These young hostages were forced to perform sexual acts on each other and were subjected to sexual acts by their captors, including being forced into full nudity, having private areas touched, and their genitals whipped. Two children had burns on their lower limbs, with one describing the burning as a deliberate act witnessed by others in captivity. Women captives were also subjected to sexual assaults. One woman was attacked under gun threats by a Hamas terrorist. Most were made to undress while being watched by others, including their captors. Some young women reported sexual touching by their captors and being tied to a bed while being stared at. An older woman was held in isolation for 30 days in a dark room, bound and immobile, receiving only minimal food and water, with no medical treatment for her injuries. Men endured even more intense physical abuse. They were starved for extended periods, beaten all over their bodies, branded with hot iron, kept in confinement with scant resources, isolated while bound, and denied basic sanitation, which forced them to relieve themselves on themselves."
