Schools with bad reports will have their headteacher removed or funding stopped. I don't believe changing will make it some brilliant organisation teachers around the world will be jealous of. If another party get in, you can guarantee it will be much worse than it is now.

If lots of students are sanctioned in lessons and they don't like it, and as a result of not liking it feel like they don't belong, does that mean a school fails for not creating a sense of belonging? Will schools with ineffective or minimal sanctions fair much better from OFTSED/DfE etc because students are less bothered/impacted by sanctions?

Why did oftsed give this rating in 2025 when this guy was reported in 2024? Bright horizons must be reliable together with oftsed.

Yes but the problem starts with universities and teacher training who indoctrinate the teachers, plus Oftsed and the hard left teaching unions.

Those awful polyester blazers look scruffy. You know a school has just had a bad Oftsed if they suddenly insist on blazers. Cotton sweatshirts much more comfortable for learning.

... and in the same data, Ofsted are not actually trusted by anyone, especially schools, where only 29% agreed they were trusted. Even amongst parents, the NatCen study found that only 44% of parents trusted Oftsed and they are the ones Ofsted say they inspect for!...

When I think of carefully curated awareness and education materials, I keep coming back to Timekeeper, a story led narrative that centers the child’s perspective of coercive control. Informed by interviews with women with lived experience of domestic abuse and professionals working in the field, it was commissioned by Lewisham Council to raise awareness among its workforce and the wider community. Narratives like Adolescene however must do more than pose questions... they need to offer learning and meaningful insight. Not even showing the bereaved family living with the consequences or the schoolgirls impacted by everyday male violence, I personally felt, was a massive misstep. And people believe the new OFTSED "guy" will not increase influence of islam in our schools at every opportunity??

How can Sir Hmaid Patel be Chair of Oftsed if the most basic details of his own education and his background are secret? This is bizarre!

Will any so called “journalist” be asking him why a teacher from Batley should still be in hiding after 3 years? Seems a reasonable question to ask the Chair of Oftsed.
