Quantum computing has always required temperatures colder than outer space. Stanford just demonstrated a room-temperature quantum device using twisted light. Two days later, researchers announced a light-powered chip that handles quantum operations in a single piece of silicon. Quantum just escaped the freezer. The infrastructure protecting what it builds has to come with it. #QuantumComputing #Stanford #QuantumPhotonics #PostQuantumCryptography #PQC #DefenseTech #QuantumVisionHoldings #QVH #CyberSecurity #QuantumInfrastructure #PhotonicComputing #QuantumHardware #FutureOfTech #NationalSecurity #Innovatio

AI’s “scaling to bankruptcy” problem is real. @Ric_RTP nailed it: frontier models have real marginal costs. More users = bigger losses. OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI — all burning cash at scale because every query costs real compute and power. But this breakthrough might change everything. @CharlesMullins2just highlighted a new Nature paper: researchers achieved full-wafer 3D integration of tantala photonics directly on lithium niobate. One chip that does supercontinuum, microcombs, frequency conversion, and more. This isn’t solved by more nuclear (or any) power plants. It’s solved by moving AI compute to light instead of electrons — slashing energy use and cost per query by orders of magnitude. The AI bomb isn’t defused by raw electricity. It’s defused by better computing architecture. Photonics could finally flip the economics back to software-like scaling. Game-changer if it ships at scale. AI is the first technology in history where more customers makes you POORER. Every tech company in history got cheaper as it scaled. More users meant lower costs per user. That's the entire model. That's why Microsoft prints money. That's why Google prints money. That's why Meta prints money. Software has near-zero marginal cost. Build it once. Sell it a billion times. The 100 millionth user costs basically nothing to serve. This is the single most important rule in tech economics. But AI completely broke it. Every single query costs real compute. Every interaction burns real electricity. Every response depreciates real hardware. There is no "build once, sell forever." There is only "burn money every time someone asks a question." And the numbers prove it: OpenAI hit $20 billion in annualized revenue. Losses? $14 billion. For every dollar they earn, they spend $1.69 delivering it. Their losses TRIPLED as their revenue grew. Not because they're bad at business, but simply because the model itself is broken. Anthropic crossed $30 billion in annualized revenue. Still burning billions. Still not profitable. Still raising tens of billions just to keep the lights on. xAI is burning $1 billion every single month. Perplexity spent 164% of its revenue on compute costs from AWS, They literally spent more on running the AI than they made from selling it. This is not how technology is supposed to work. Google once estimated that adding AI to every search query would require 500,000 A100 servers. The cost of answering a single AI query is 10x MORE than a traditional search result. Traditional software: Serving 1 million users costs roughly the same as serving 100,000. The marginal cost is basically zero. AI: Serving 1 million users can cost 10 times what 100,000 costs. Every new user is a new expense. Every new query is a new dollar burned. This is reverse economics. The more successful you become, the faster you die. And nobody in the industry wants to talk about it because the entire narrative depends on you believing AI companies work like software companies. But they don't. They NEVER will. Software scales to infinity. AI scales to bankruptcy. HSBC ran the numbers on OpenAI specifically. Their conclusion: Even after every funding round, every investment, every deal, OpenAI still faces a $207 BILLION shortfall to reach profitability. The industry response has been to raise prices. ChatGPT went from free to $20 to $200 for the Pro plan. And it's still not enough because the cost of running these models grows FASTER than any price increase consumers will accept. Meanwhile 966 AI startups died in 2024. A 25.6% jump from the year before. AI startups burn cash twice as fast as non-AI tech companies. And the ones building on TOP of OpenAI and Anthropic are in even worse shape. Every wrapper app. Every "AI-powered" SaaS tool. Every startup whose entire product is someone else's model with a different skin on it. They're all margin-negative. Every single one. And these are the companies about to IPO. SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Cerebras. $240 billion in combined raises planned for 2026. They're asking you to invest in an industry where the fundamental unit economics don't work. Where the MORE customers you get, the MORE money you lose. Where no company has figured out how to make the math positive. The dot-com bubble had the same pitch: "Revenue is growing. Profitability comes later." For most of them, later never came. The question isn't whether AI will change the world. It will. The question is whether it can do it without going broke first. And right now, every single number literally says no. How can they become profitable?

$QCLS has recently transformed into a high-volatility battlefield as it pivots from pharmaceuticals into the "quantum-class" computing sector. The stock is currently attracting significant attention due to aggressive advisory shifts and high-profile technical breakthroughs. Recent News & Market Catalysts OpenAI Board Appointment: On January 20, 2026, the company appointed Chelsea Voss, a computer scientist and Technical Staff member at OpenAI, to its Board of Directors. This move is intended to bolster the company's "quantum-class" computing and photonic hardware strategy. Strategic Advisory Shift: In late 2025, the company added Martin Shkreli as a Strategic Advisor. Shkreli has publicly touted the stock as a long idea, setting aggressive price targets and promoting its optical computing potential. Photonic Computing Breakthrough: Q/C holds exclusive rights to "qc-LPU100" laser processing units via its partnership with LightSolver. These units are designed to solve complex math problems up to 100x faster than current GPUs while consuming 1/100th of the energy. Why the Massive Volatility? The explosive price action is a byproduct of its micro-cap structure (~$17M market cap) and a heavy short float estimated at over 34%. The combination of its pivot into the AI/Quantum sector and high-visibility social media promotion has created a fertile ground for rapid momentum shifts and potential short squeezes. Technical Setup & Trading Plan ($QCLS 1D Chart) Based on image_a38dea.png, the stock is attempting a major reversal from its 52-week lows ($2.50): Current Price Action: $QCLS is trading at $5.60, up 37.59% in a single session, signaling a high-conviction breakout from the recent base. Overhead Resistance: * Immediate hurdle: $6.78 (Blue line). Secondary target: $8.17 (Red line), which marks a significant supply zone from mid-2025. Key Support Floors: Structural support: $4.62 and $4.59 (Orange/Red cluster). Historical bottom: $2.50. Tactical Entry StrategyLook for an entry on a "retest and hold" of the $4.62 level to ensure the bounce has structural integrity. Alternatively, an aggressive entry on a volume-backed break above $6.78 could target the $8.00 zone. The risk remains extremely high given the capital-intensive nature of hardware development and the stock's negative cash flow. A very interesting ticker i don’t see many people talking about is $TNFA. From Biopharma to Crypto/Blockchain. • TNF Pharmaceuticals has secured exclusive global rights to LightSolver’s laser-based processing units (LPUs) for crypto & blockchain usage. These LPUs are designed to outperform GPUs, HPC, even quantum systems—offering up to ~90% lower energy costs. • The company plans to rebrand to align with this shift, signaling a move away from its pharma roots toward being a tech / infrastructure / crypto-oriented player. • It closed a $7 million private placement, including convertible preferred stock & warrants, to help fund commercialization of the licensed technology. Why this matters: - Photonic / light-based computing could be a game-changer for blockchain infrastructures if it's scalable & efficient. - The rebranding suggests they’re serious about moving completely into tech/crypto infrastructure. - Energy costs are a major pain point for crypto & blockchain; 90% potential savings could be a major competitive edge. #TNFA #LightSolver #Crypto #Blockchain #PhotonicComputing #EnergyEfficiency #Rebrand #Infrastructure
