⚛️ Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha: The Man Who Gave India Its Atomic Power 💥
#OnThisDay | 30 October 1909
A genius was born — Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, the man who turned India’s scientific dreams into nuclear reality. 🇮🇳
Before independence, when the world saw India as a land of snake charmers, Bhabha dreamed of reactors and research labs.
He founded:
🔹 Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in 1945
🔹 Atomic Energy Establishment, Trombay — later renamed Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC)
Jawaharlal Nehru trusted him so much that he became the chief architect of India’s atomic energy policy.
Sadly, India lost him too soon — in a mysterious plane crash in 1966. Some even call it “India’s scientific assassination.” ✈️💔
But his vision lives on — every time India launches a nuclear mission or builds a reactor, Bhabha’s dream glows a little brighter. 🔬🇮🇳
