Diwali 2025 Cake Cutting Ceremony & Meeting with H.E. President of Pakistan, Hon. Asif Ali Zardari.
Karachi, October 22, 2025:
A warm and cordial meeting took place between H.E. President of Pakistan, Hon. Asif Ali Zardari, senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Kaka Kishanchand Advani, and Member of Sindh Assembly & Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for Minority Affairs Dr. Sham Sunder Advani in Karachi.
During the meeting, Kaka Kishanchand Advani expressed heartfelt gratitude to the President for placing his trust in his son, Dr. Sham Sunder Advani, by appointing him to an important position in the Sindh Government. He shared that this confidence was not only a matter of immense pride for their family but also a deep source of motivation to continue serving the people with even greater dedication.
Dr. Sham Sunder Advani also thanked President Zardari for his continued guidance and encouragement. He reaffirmed his commitment to work tirelessly for the welfare and progress of minority communities, following the vision of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who always championed equality, inclusivity, and interfaith harmony.
Dr. Advani briefed the H.E. President about the achievements and ongoing efforts of the Minorities Affairs Department, especially highlighting the Diwali Financial Assistance Program, through which financial Assistance Cheques have been distributed among deserving and underprivileged people of the Hindu community across Sindh.
PPP leader Raees Ghulam Qadir Mari was also present during the meeting.
The gathering ended on a joyful note with a Diwali Cake Cutting Ceremony, where H.E. President of Pakistan, Hon. Asif Ali Zardari, Kaka Kishanchand Advani, and Dr. Sham Sunder Advani jointly cut the cake to celebrate the festival of lights. They extended warm wishes to the Hindu community, emphasizing the message of love, peace, and unity in diversity that Diwali represents.
