HAWKERS DON'T BLOCK THE CITY — EVICTIONS DO. A city is not built only by concrete, malls, and skyscrapers. It is built by the hardworking people who serve its streets every day. Street hawkers are not encroachers; they are workers, entrepreneurs, and providers for countless families. When a hawker is evicted, it is not just a stall that disappears—it is a livelihood destroyed, a child's education threatened, and a family's dignity put at risk. Inclusive cities do not erase the poor; they create space for everyone. The solution is regulation, recognition, and rehabilitation—not forced eviction. Stand with street vendors. Stand for the right to work, the right to livelihood, and the right to the city. #SupportHawkers #StopEvictions #RightToLivelihood #StreetVendorsMatter #JusticeForHawkers #InclusiveCities #RightToWork #UrbanJustice #HumanRights #SaveStreetLivelihoods #NoForcedEvictions #DignityForAll #VendorRights #PeopleBeforeProfit #LegalServiceIndia

The hypocrisy of claiming you are "creating jobs locally" while your company actively brickwalls qualified British workers is staggering, @PhilBentleyCEO. Your People Director, Julie Mason, stated in writing to my MP that I am effectively barred from even applying for roles at @mitie. I am a 4x licensed pro with MoJ clearance, yet Mitie weaponised BS7858 gaps to rug-pull THREE job offers from me in 5 years. Instead of securing a local security job just 8 miles from my home, your exclusionary practices forced me out of my chosen profession entirely. I now have to travel an hour each way for work in a completely different sector. Is @UKGovPropAgency comfortable funding a contractor whose "Social Value" claims are entirely black and white marketing fluff? British taxpayers deserve better than a multi-billion-pound firm that plays God with local livelihoods. 💭🤔 To put your "local jobs" claim into context, @PhilBentleyCEO: I secured a role with @mitie in Jan 2025. Your HR department brick-walled me over a minor vetting issue regarding a closed bank account. I was given just 2 days to rectify it, which was impossible. Because of that, I remained out of work until April 2026. When I secured another position with Mitie, your team blocked me again; this time citing the historic unemployment gap and the previous failed BS7858 check caused by those same Santander statements. Mind you, those same statements were good enough for HM Prison & Probation Service clearance! Your company doesn’t support British people into work; it actively excludes them. Even when this flaw was highlighted, your directors doubled down on that exclusion and denied a decent human being a minimum-wage job. That says a lot about your company and your true corporate values. I want answers, and I want accountability. 💭🤔 @SIAuk @DWPgovuk @PhilBentleyCEO @DanJarvisMBE @rosie_wrighting @patmcfaddenmp @Helen_Whately @DianaJohnsonMP @gov_procurement @cabinetofficeuk @BSI_UK @SolHughesWriter @johnharris1969 @DrFrancesRyan @guardian @DailyMail #NeurodiversityAtWork #DisabilityConfident #SecurityIndustry #SIA #Mitie #RightToWork #TaxpayerWaste

The petition filed by @RightToWork asks the Board to: — Overturn NLRB-invented "bars" depriving workers of their right to remove unwanted unions — End policies that delay/block worker-requested decertification elections — Require union bosses to prove worker support regularly

Respected @NarendraModi Ji, Thousands of labour court cases are pending across India, and workers are suffering silently while waiting years for justice. Many employees who have lost their jobs are forced to spend the prime years of their lives fighting legal battles, facing financial hardship, mental stress, and uncertainty. Labour courts were established to protect workers' rights, but prolonged delays defeat the very purpose of justice. There is an urgent need for fast-track labour courts, strict timelines for hearings, digital case management, and measures to curb unnecessary adjournments. A hardworking citizen seeking justice should not have to wait for years to get a final verdict. Timely justice will strengthen trust in the system and provide relief to millions of workers and their families. Kindly consider this important issue in the interest of India's workforce. #LabourCourt #WorkersRights #JusticeDelayed #India #LabourLaw #EmployeeRights #FastTrackCourts #JudicialReforms #JusticeForWorkers #IndianWorkers #PendingCases #RightToWork #LegalReforms #WorkingClass #NationFirst #JusticeMatters

@SIAuk : I've officially been forced out of the security industry and have had to train for a different sector I don't even want to be in. Why? Because a qualified, 4x licensed pro with MoJ clearance is being systematically blocked from basic employment by your premier contractors. Major taxpayer-funded contractors like @mitie are weaponising BS7858 to deny people employment after a job offer, simply for having periods of temporary employment, not signing on or unemployment gaps. This is a blatant, discriminatory practice against British citizens seeking work. Instead of verifying gaps as BS7858 actually allows, Mitie uses it as a lazy tool for corporate blacklisting. What is the point of paying for SIA licenses if major government contractors are allowed to play God and freeze qualified professionals out of their own industry? I have given @Mitie every opportunity to explain themselves and correct their exclusionary processes. After all, they publicly claim they are going to "uplift 1 million lives" through inclusive employment. I’ve written to their directors, my MP, and Dan Jarvis. I am not out of work, but I am barred from working in the security industry. I want to know why a qualified British national is being blocked from working in his chosen profession; one I have worked in for most of my adult life. CEO Phil Bentley is basically an accountant running a major facilities management company. I have worked in the security sector significantly longer than he has, yet his company is brickwalling me from work while claiming they "support people into work." I've had 3 separate job offers from @Mitie in 5 years. All 3 were rug-pulled at the last second, using BS7858 as a lazy excuse to deny me what was essentially basic minimum wage work. To put that into context: I've now left the sector and am earning £15.66/hour plus a £2.60 shift allowance. To say the security industry is broken is an absolute understatement! The gatekeeping by major taxpayer-funded contractors isn't protecting sites; it's actively driving qualified professionals straight of the industry. I want answers, and I want accountability. 💭🤔 @SIAuk @DWPgovuk @PhilBentleyCEO @DanJarvisMBE @rosie_wrighting @patmcfaddenmp @Helen_Whately @DianaJohnsonMP @gov_procurement @cabinetofficeuk @BSI_UK @SolHughesWriter @johnharris1969 @DrFrancesRyan @guardian @DailyMail #NeurodiversityAtWork #DisabilityConfident#SecurityIndustry #SIA #Mitie #RightToWork #TaxpayerWaste
