Source of the River Bride (pronounced Breedy) in Littlebredy, Dorset. I greatly enjoy encountering river sources during pilgrimage. Either as a destination, or as a place to collect pure water to offer to other holy places as gift, or as a starting point for a pilgrimage to the river’s mouth and the sea. It seems to me that walking a river is a perfect encapsulation of life - we rise, innocent and hopeful, we journey the world, accumulate many influences, grow thick, slow and powerful, then blend into the great water where all rivers end. Way better than what they did to my ~40k I rolled out of ex-employer's 401k when I lost my job in 2001. Told me in early 2002 to put it in a Riversource annuity! I managed all my money now. They are now paying me back via $AMP dividends!

RiverSource Distributors Inc. charged $5 million in violation of Section 11 in Investment Company Act by SEC. Charges come on basis that RS offered and sold variable annuities in a practice to switch to another variable annuity and increase sales commissions for RS employees.
