🛠️ DevLog – Session & Queue Metrics Bugfix Dashboard Update We've pushed a fix to DevNet5 addressing a key issue in Oracle v3: 🔹 Bug: Session & SessionQueue state sync was off, causing incorrect metrics for user task timing, reward, and penalty in the Session Reputation module. 🔹 Fix: Logic corrected and deployed - metrics now reporting accurately. 🔹 Also Added Time-series metrics for total sessions created and tasks completed are now available on the dashboard. As the mini hackathon begins, this should improve readiness, visibility, and help us surface any remaining edge cases through real usage. Let's keep iterating - and good luck to all builders! #Cortensor #DevLog #Hackathon #RouterNode #SessionStats #DePIN #AIInfra

🛠️ DevLog – Dashboard Backend Refactor: 3-Part Architecture As the Dashboard backend grows to handle deeper Web3 activity and real-time monitoring, we've refactored it into three focused components: 🔹 1. Event Listener - Listens to key onchain events (NodeStats, NodeReputation, SessionStats, SessionReputation, NodePool, Session, SessionQueue) in real time 🔹 2. Indexer - Structures and processes event data - Generates Redis-cached time-series datasets for efficient tracking 🔹 3. API Service Layer - Serves structured data via RESTful endpoints - Powers the dashboard UI and external tools This modular split improves performance, scalability, and observability. 🧩 Next Steps This foundation allows us to expand indexing and time-series tracking - with upcoming work focused on deeper coverage of Session and SessionQueue activity. #Cortensor #DevLog #Dashboard #Infra #Refactor #Monitoring #DePIN #AIInfra

🛠️ DevLog – Monitoring Update & Upcoming User Task Stats So far, the newly deployed SessionStats, SessionReputation, and dynamic node pool logic are holding up well. We'll continue observing through mini hackathon activity to surface more edge cases and real-world bugs. 🔹 What’s Next: We're planning to introduce a User Task Stats dashboard - similar to the current network stats page, but scoped to user-generated sessions only. 📊 Planned Time Series Metrics: - Ack / Precommit / Commit - Precommit-to-commit ratio - Avg & max output length per session - Avg Max token size set by developers - Avg Task duration (end-to-end) - LLM parameters set (temp, top_p, top_k, penalties) This will provide deeper visibility into app-level inference behavior, helping developers tune performance and spot issues faster. More to come later today as we explore implementation. #Cortensor #DevLog #Observability #SessionStats #DePIN #AIInfra

🛠️ DevLog – Stat Separation Planned for Phase #5 As Phase #4 continues, we're preparing a key upgrade for Phase #5: separating network-level and user-level stats for better accuracy and control. 🔹 Current Limitation: - NodeStats and NodeReputation are shared between network tasks and user sessions. - This prevents resetting session metrics without affecting overall network data. - Some early session stats are skewed - but can't be cleanly corrected. 🔹 Coming in Phase #5: - NodeStats / NodeReputation: for network-level tracking - SessionStats / SessionReputation: for user inference sessions 🔹 Why It Matters: - Enables selective resets of session metrics - Preserves long-term network stats - Improves tracking, debugging, and reward scoring A necessary step for deeper observability and network fairness as we grow. #Cortensor #DevLog #Phase5 #Stats #Reputation #DePIN #AIInfra

🛠️ DevLog – Binary Update Fixes for User Task Mode Please update to the latest cortensord binary: github.com/cortensor/install… We've fixed two key regressions affecting user task mode during recent stress tests: 🔹 Fixes Included • WebSocket client: incorrect error handling caused failures in miner communication • Minerv4: node pool event logic was prematurely releasing reserved nodes These bugs lowered session stats for user tasks - now resolved. (Network tasks were unaffected.) 🔹 Backlog – Nonce Handling Under Load Stress tests exposed nonce issues under high-volume requests. We're exploring transaction queueing or batching for stable execution. #Cortensor #DevLog #BugFix #UserTask #Nonce #SessionStats #AIInfra #DePIN #Installer

🛠️ DevLog: Weekly Recap – SessionStats, OracleV3, DevNet6 & More We made steady progress across this week’s focus areas - many of them in early or first-pass form, but strong foundations are in place: 🔹 SessionStats: First UI/backend iteration complete - live session metrics now visible to track node behavior. 🔹 Oracle V3: Wired into DevNet5 - ack/precommit timers tested, with basic node reputation logging in place. 🔹 User Task Stress Test: Ran initial tests w/ node ops using dynamic capacity logic. More structured testing to come in Phase #4. 🔹 DevNet6: Core infra is live. Now our main dev/testing network while DevNet5 handles community stress testing. 🔹 Router Node API: Refined non-completion endpoints; began tester driven iteration. Added Nginx reverse proxy config & installer script for production-ready setups. 🔸 L3 AppChain Testing: Partial progress - synced Arbitrum Orbit L3 w/ external nodes; published working YAML for RPC ops. More to come in June. Many of these are still in early iterations - Phase #4 will be a critical window to refine, harden, and improve everything we’ve laid down. #Cortensor #DevLog #DePIN #RouterNode #OracleV3 #L3 #AIInfra

🛠️ DevLog: Dynamic Node Pool Capacity v1 Live – v2 in Planning (1/2) We’ve implemented the first version of dynamic Node Pool capacity logic, now ready to deploy on DevNet5. v1 – Now Functional This version reduces over-allocation by using real-time network data: 1. Score nodes using existing reputation metrics 2. Filter nodes active in the last 10 minutes 3. Dynamically calculate how many nodes to select based on score, threshold and total active number of nodes 4. Release idle nodes (ephemeral reserved) 5. Add selected nodes to the pool This is the first step toward capacity-aware orchestration. Further tuning will follow as we integrate more data. #Cortensor #DevNet5 #NodePool #DynamicCapacity #DePIN
