Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is organizing the 29th Conference of Central and State Statistical Organizations (CoCSSO) on 25-26 September, 2025, at Chandigarh. The theme of this year’s two-day conference is “Strengthening Local Level Governance.”
The inaugural session will be graced by Hon’ble Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the MoSPI, Shri Nayab Singh Saini, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana; Shri Bhawani Singh Pathania, Hon’ble Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Board, Government of Himachal Pradesh; Chief Secretaries of Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh Administration, Dr. Saurabh Garg, Secretary, MoSPI and senior officers of MoSPI.
A major highlight of the conference will be the launch of key digital initiatives of MoSPI, including the revamped MoSPI website, iOS version of the GoIStats App, new portals such as PAIMANA & NMDS 2.0, along with flagship publications like Children in India 2025 and Environmental Accounting on Forest 2025.
The two-day event will also feature technical sessions on strengthening statistical capacities, revision of base years for GDP, IIP & CPI, MPLAD scheme implementation, SDG monitoring, and harmonization of datasets. Around 350 participants from Central Ministries, States, UN agencies, World Bank and other organizations are expected to attend.
