False ministers teach their congregation that we are not required to obey God's commandments since we are "saved by grace". But does grace give us a licence to sin?
When Jesus was approached by a young ruler who asked Him how to obtain eternal life, this is what He said:
"...if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” (Matthew 19: 17). That is, the Ten commandments which includes the weekly sabbath (Saturday).
"Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!,'” (Matthew 7: 21-23).
Christ never knew these people. Why? Although they were using His name or preaching in His name, they did not know who He was or have a relationship with Him.
”Lawlessness" simply means "without the law" or breaking God's commandments. The majority of Christians all around the world break God's commandments as their way of life.
Jesus said, "But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?," (Luke 6: 46).
Although many call Jesus "Lord" meaning "Master", they replace His commandments with the teachings of men.
This is one way to identify the final Antichrist before Christ returns. He will teach mankind that we are no longer required to obey God's laws, (2 Thessalonians 2:3, 7–8) Do we have that same antichrist spirit and attitude?
But Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments, (John 14: 15) 🤍
