Skift Meetings and the excellent Miguel Neves report that @webexevents is no more. This follows the announcement of a few weeks ago that the Cisco laid off employees in the team. This is a big deal. WebEx Events comes off the acquisition of Socio, a platform that saw incredible growth during the pandemic. Despite a strong presence at industry shows, there is not enough business for ZIRP-era acquisitions. More to follow.
