English In this video, several members of Ahmad Shara’s forces (legalised ISIS), backed by the United States, are seen interrogating, humiliating, and physically assaulting a teenage boy. They shout at him: Where are you from? Then they order him: Say the testimony of faith. One of the attackers forces him to repeat: There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. The boy, trembling with fear, says:I am Alawi. One of the attackers asks: Why did you say you are Alawi? Then he repeats: Are you Alawi? The boy answers fearfully: Yes. Trying to defend himself, he says: At least I pray. At this point, one of the attackers shouts at him with a sexual insult: You pray? The boy, apparently trying to reduce the violence and save himself, says: I am Christian. The attacker asks: Don’t you want to convert to Islam? The boy answers: Yes, I will convert. The attacker orders him: Now say: I have converted to Islam. Throughout this scene, while beating and pushing the child, the attackers repeatedly insult him with words such as »dog»”»Rafidite,»«Alawi »and other sectarian slurs. #KurdishWomen #KurdishResistance #StopISIS #ISISCrimes #CrimesAgainstHumanity #WarCrimes #HumanRights #WomenResistance #WomenDefendRojava #Rojava #Syria #DefendRojava #HTS @BBCWorld @BBCBreaking @Reuters @ReutersWorld @AP @AP_News @CNN @AlJazeera @AJEnglish @France24_en @dwnews

ROJAVA IS OUR HONOR This is not a conflict — it is a massacre. Civilians are being bombed, children are trapped under rubble, women are targeted, and entire living spaces are systematically destroyed. Rojava stands for resistance, dignity, and the will of peoples to live together. What is happening today is an attempt to break a people’s will through bombs, forced displacement, and imposed silence. Silence is not neutrality. Silence is complicity. To Europe, to America, to the peoples of the world: While people are dying, your statements are empty. Your delays are counted in lost lives. History will not record excuses — it will record who looked away. Rojava is not alone. Defending Rojava means defending human dignity, women’s freedom, and the right of peoples to exist. ROJAVA IS OUR HONOR. WE STAND FOR OUR HONOR. #RojavaIsOurHonor #DefendRojava #StopTheMassacre #SilenceIsComplicity #StandWithRojava #EuropeActNow #AmericaActNow #HumanRights #WomenDefendRojava #InternationalSolidarity

In Defense of Rojava: A Living Experience Against Centralization and Authoritarianism In northeastern Syria, Rojava is not merely a “region,” but a socio-political experiment that, amid the devastation of the Syrian civil war, has tested a new form of social governance. At a time when Syria’s transitional government is once again advancing a project of power centralization, the Autonomous Democratic Administration of North and East Syria represents not a threat to coexistence, but a genuine alternative to the dominant authoritarian order in the region. Since 2012, and in the vacuum left by the central state, Rojava has built a model of self-administration grounded in direct democracy, local councils, and the equal participation of different ethnic and social communities—Kurds, Arabs, Assyrians, and others. One of the most distinctive features of this structure is the central role of women, not as symbols, but as holders of real political and military power. The co-chair system within institutions and the presence of women commanders in the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have been integral to this project. The SDF were the very forces that played a decisive role in defeating ISIS and, despite severe resource shortages and global indifference, have for years maintained security over camps and prisons holding ISIS fighters. Alongside this, Rojava has managed to preserve basic services such as multilingual education, public healthcare, and limited yet meaningful environmental projects under conditions of war, sanctions, and constant pressure. In recent months, political agreements and pressures from Damascus—including discussions about integrating the SDF into the central army and transferring strategic resources—have raised serious concerns about the future of self-administration. The declaration of general mobilization by the Rojava administration is not an aggressive move, but a defensive response aimed at protecting hard-won achievements. Clashes in areas such as Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor demonstrate that weakening Rojava’s security structure could have catastrophic consequences, including widespread instability and the risk of an ISIS resurgence. The question of Rojava is not merely a local dispute or an administrative disagreement with Damascus. The fate of this experiment is a serious test of global claims regarding democracy, gender equality, and ethnic coexistence. At a time when a new wave of authoritarianism and power centralization is taking shape in the region, ignoring or sacrificing Rojava would mean erasing one of the few existing bottom-up alternatives. Defending Rojava does not mean defending a flawless model; it means defending the right of communities to self-determination, grassroots organization, and resistance against the reproduction of oppressive orders. Eliminating this experience will bring neither stability nor peace—it will only reinforce cycles of violence and the return of reactionary forces. Today, defending Rojava means defending rare possibilities that are still alive in the Middle East. #KurdishWomen #KurdishResistance #StopISIS #ISISCrimes #CrimesAgainstHumanity #WarCrimes #HumanRights #WomenResistance #WomenDefendRojava #Rojava #Syria #DefendRojava #HTS @BBCWorld @BBCBreaking @Reuters @ReutersWorld @AP @AP_News @CNN @AlJazeera @AJEnglish @France24_en @dwnews

In this scene, a Syrian Kurdish girl is shown being filmed by ISIS militants (Ahmad al-Sharaa). They recorded the incident on video, appearing completely at ease while chanting “Allahu Akbar,” as they throw the girl “from a high place,” in accordance with their so-called juristic description, because she “refused to give up her land, her home, her country.” The Kurds are people of the mountains. Arabs once called them “jinn” because of how fiercely and strangely they clung to the mountains as their homeland—strange, from the perspective of nomadic Arabs during the era of conquests. A people who have lived in their own language beyond history and its upheavals. There is no one who has not attacked them, fought them, or displaced them, all for one single reason: they refused to assimilate, refused to have their identity erased, and could not forget that they are a people and a homeland. Kurdish women have been subjected to brutal abuse for reasons that go back to the early days of the Syrian revolution. They were a fierce enemy who refused to surrender to ISIS, and more importantly, they were women who rejected “fear”: either we live free, or we are martyred in confrontation with barbarism. Whenever you see an image of a long black braid, a smiling Middle Eastern face, dressed in green camouflage clothing, know that you are looking at heroes of freedom that no one here talks about—because they believe in identity, origin, and homeland, in a region addicted to destroying both nations and human beings at the same time. #KurdishWomen #KurdishResistance #StopISIS #ISISCrimes #CrimesAgainstHumanity #WarCrimes #HumanRights #WomenResistance #WomenDefendRojava @BBCWorld @BBCBreaking @Reuters @ReutersWorld @AP @AP_News @CNN @AlJazeera @AJEnglish @France24_en @dwnews
