It is highly likely that the harmonic resonance of the RVacs is inducing a secondary harmonic resonance in the propellant feed lines that directly supply the RVacs. This interaction between structural oscillations and fluid dynamics can lead to a resonant coupling, amplifying pressure fluctuations within the feed system. When the resonant frequency of the piping is reached, this can lead to two critical scenarios: structural failure of the feed lines due to excessive stresses or cavitation within the propellant system. Cavitation may occur if resonance induces abrupt local pressure variations, causing the fluid to drop below its vapor pressure, forming bubbles that violently collapse. This phenomenon can result in erosive damage to the ducts and pumps, compromising propellant flow and potentially triggering combustion instabilities within the engines.
