I passed my exams without mnemonics. It cost me years. You can save yourself the trouble: I'll show you how I studied the way everyone studies. Repetition. Notes. More repetition. It was nerve-wracking, often inefficient, and most of what I'd worked so hard to retain was gone within weeks of each exam. You get trained to be fit on the exam date. What happens after (the rapid forgetting) is treated as irrelevant. When I first came across the term mnemonics a few years later, my reaction was simple: hard to believe something this straightforward could make a real difference. I was skeptical. I tried it anyway. The results changed how I think about learning entirely. I became fascinated by what the brain is actually capable of and frustrated that none of this appears in any curriculum I've ever seen. I went on to write two books on the subject. I use these techniques daily in client meetings, in fieldwork, for statutory figures I need to cite without notes. They also keep the mind sharp in a way that passive reading simply doesn't. I'm a CPA and tax advisor. Numbers are my daily business. This series is what I wish someone had given me before I sat those exams. Over the coming months I'll share the techniques that changed how I learn, work, and think - starting with the one I use most. #MemoryTechniques #BrainROI #LearnFaster #Mnemonics

@KSEAB_KARNATAKA Worried about forgetting what you have studied? Use the "Recall and Rewrite" method to enhance retention. This active recall technique strengthens neural pathways, making it easier to remember information during the exam. Additionally, practising writing helps improve your presentation and speed, ensuring you can complete your paper well within the allotted time. #StudyMethod #RecallAndRewrite #ActiveLearning #MemoryTechniques #ShalaShikshana #KSEAB #GovernmentSchoolsofKarnataka

■ Memory Technique (13) There are 52 techniques in the Kurita-style Memory Method. Among them, the M-method is called the “Metamorphose Method.” ■ Today, I introduce the 11th practice of this foundational technique. Using the attached video as a reference, try vividly imagining the transformation from “rooster (鶏 = niwatori)” → “dog (犬 = inu)”—that is, a rooster gradually and continuously metamorphosing into a dog. This exercise strengthens the imaging sense that supports the memory method. (Click the image to view the full vertical frame.) ■ Please let the rooster change into a dog step by step, in a continuous flow: Stage 1 ■ The image of a rooster. Start. Stage 2 ■ The “dog–rooster” stage.  The rooster begins to show dog-like features. The rooster is still dominant. Stage 3 ■ The “rooster–dog” stage.  Now it looks like a dog that still retains some rooster characteristics. The dog is dominant. Stage 4 ■ It becomes a pure dog. End. ■ The entire process takes about 10 seconds. ■ This exercise helps reinforce the relationship between the 9th pair of the 12 zodiac signs: Rooster (酉) and Dog (戌). #KuritaMethod #AbilityDevelopment #MemoryTechniques #Imagination #ImagingPower #SpatialMemory #Zodiac

週末に4時間まとめて練習するより、平日に毎日30分練習する方が効果的。これは分散練習と呼ばれる科学的な学習法で、脳が情報を整理し、長期記憶として定着させる時間を確保するためです。 細切れ時間の活用がピアノ上達の秘訣ですね🥰 Practicing for 30 minutes every weekday is far more effective than a single 4-hour session on the weekend. This is a scientific learning method called "Distributed Practice," which allows the brain time to organize information and consolidate it into long-term memory.

Shares a cool Memory Palace idea & a wild experiment where switching languages on Day 8 improved results—mind-blowing! I’m so in for joining the next round, Anthony. Can’t wait to see the full protocol! 🧠 #MemoryTechniques #LanguageLearning
Cool little Memory Palace for 'ya. Would be interesting to include in a split-test experiment I've been running. Today is Day 8 and it's quite wild because I switched languages today and wound up doing slightly better than in English. Anyone interested in joining a subsequent experiment once I work out the full protocol and get at least one person to vet it?

■ Memory Technique (1): Storing experiences in transparent spheres and resizing them. ■ Today, let’s explore a fundamental technique for enhancing memory. This involves: ① Encapsulating experiences inside transparent spheres ② Expanding and shrinking these spheres at will ■ We call this process “Memory Rounding”, and the resulting spheres are “Memory Spheres” or “Memory Balls.” Let’s practice with three examples: ■🔹 Imagine a scene where the sky stretches across the upper half and a lush green garden fills the lower half. In the sky, three transparent spheres float like soap bubbles. Each sphere contains a different memory: 1️⃣ Family Time – A joyful moment with parents and a small child (one of them being you). 2️⃣ Sports with Friends – A memory of playing a sport, like tennis. 3️⃣ Work at Your Desk – A scene from a specific day when you were focused on desk work. ■🔹 Now, refer to the illustration and practice freely resizing these spheres in mid-air. Let the beauty of the garden, the serenity of the space, and the vastness of the sky enhance your visualization. ■🔹 Through this exercise, you develop the ability to compactly store specific experiences, place them in spheres, adjust their size, and position them within a scenic space in an elegant, simplified manner. This lays the foundation for strengthening your memory. (More details to follow!) #KuritaMethod #MemoryTechniques #MemorySpheres #MemoryBalls #MemorySpatialization #CognitiveTraining
