That's interesting, however, I'm afraid I don't know that quantum mechanics clearly establishes that consciousness is primary. As I understand it, the claim that a conscious observer is required for wavefunction collapse is only one interpretation among several (and it's not the dominant view among physicists today). So, to me, it seems the idea that "quantum mechanics is strange" doesn't yet get us to the idea that "consciousness is fundamental." In similar fashion, pointing to problems with materialism doesn't automatically establish idealism. At most it just suggests that materialism may be incomplete. So, I think I'm still back where I was - what positive evidence favors consciousness as the fundamental layer of reality rather than consciousness being an emergent feature of a deeper reality we don't yet fully understand? For what it's worth, I agree we may not have a provable explanation either way, but that's different from concluding consciousness is primary.
