So, I've been wondering – are there any Biological/Clinical or Chemistry Departments in the US and Canada with both senior (full professor/associate/dean) and junior (assistant) professors that are Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx or Indigenous/Native American?

I actually read all 216 pages of Florida's new state social studies standards, and the enslaved-people-benefitting-from-slavery is not even the worst part. They basically created a K-12 course in Caucasian Race Theory Here's the top 10 problems I found: thegrio.com/2023/07/27/flori…

Someone @CIHR_IRSC has to reconsider this! I understand specific font for the text, but figures take whatever space they take, regardless of font! What is the point of this? Journals require Arial/Helvetica for Figs, now we need to redo them for grants? Waste of time for all!

Elsevier's revenue: £2.9 billion. WTF? We scientists produce the content for manuscripts and review for free. Then we pay huge fees for open access publishing. Science should not be business. What on earth can we do to fight against this? theguardian.com/science/2023…

Dear @JustinTrudeau Don't tell me that you haven't heard of the inhumane treatment African refugees are enduring right now, sleeping on the streets of Toronto. These people deserve similar treatment as Ukranian refugees who were immediately housed and provided with healthcare.

A mob???? Do you think you might want to write that headline a little more accurately and a little less racist? "Group of Indigenous protesters arrive at home of a man who desecrated a memorial for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2S"
