Today, on #InternationalDayOfPlay, we are excited about introducing a new term - #Playfluencer - a recognition and celebration of all the spaces, people, things and moments that inspire, encourage and enable play. Because play does so much, it’s the best influencer for childhood! So what can you do? Every place, park, pebble, puddle, pet, and playful person can be a Playfluencer. Spot them. Celebrate them. Become one yourself! Together, let's build a culture where play has champions everywhere. @ndtv @BachpanManao #RocketLearning #EarlyEducationForAll #InternationalDayOfPlay #PlaybasedLearning #BachpanManao #CelebrateChildhood #EarlyChildhood #EarlyYears #Play

Children are the smartest scientists we know. Every time a child stacks a block, repeats a sound, points to a picture, chases a shadow, or asks “why?” for the tenth time, they are experimenting. This International Day of Play, our co-founders reflect on why play matters so deeply in a child’s early years - not just for learning, but for bonding, imagination, curiosity, language, confidence, and connection. And perhaps, for adults too. Because when we play with children, we don’t just help them discover the world. We rediscover a little bit of ourselves. So today, let’s treat play with the seriousness it deserves. Watch the video and tell us: what is one playful moment from your childhood that stayed with you? #RocketLearning #EarlyEducationForAll #InternationalDayOfPlay #EarlyChildhoodEducation #PlayBasedLearning #Parenting #Play

This International Day of Play, we are sharing an open letter from a parent to their child - a gentle reminder that play is not “extra”. It is one of the most essential parts of childhood. Children learn, bond, imagine and express through play.

Most children may not remember every toy, lesson, or perfectly planned activity. But the magic of a parent who paused, sat down, and said, “Let’s play" will always stay with them.

Here’s your sign to teach your child your favourite childhood game today. Remember that one childhood game you could play for hours? The one that made you laugh, run, fight with your cousins, and forget the world for a while? This International Day of Play, our Rocketeers are bringing those memories back - this time, with their children. Because play is not just play. It is connection. It is learning. It is joy passed from one generation to the next. What was your favourite game? Tell us in the comments. #RocketLearning #EarlyEducationForAll #InternationalDayOfPlay #PlayBasedLearning #Parenting #Parent

What looks like “just play” is often where the most important learning begins. During a child's early years, joyful moments of play are doing quiet, powerful work. It is the way children make sense of their bodies, their emotions, their relationships, and the world around them.

We observe this every day in Anganwadis and homes across India - in the noisy rooms, messy handprints, games, and tiny moments of joy that quietly build big foundations.

#Anganwadi centres are not just as spaces for #nutrition and #learning but also a child's very first world outside of home. A place where they watch, wonder, and grow. Aditi, a mother from Raigad district, Maharashtra, noticed something beautiful about her child at the Anganwadi - he was learning how to eat by watching a friend eat. Learning how to share by watching another child share. Learning how to carry himself simply by being in a room full of children doing the same. That is #peerlearning. And it is happening every single day, in over a million Anganwadi centres across this country, guided by educators who give these children not just education, but care, consistency, and love. Watch the video. Share it. And the next time you pass an Anganwadi centre, know that something extraordinary is happening inside. #RocketLearning #Anganwadi #ECCE #EarlyChildhood #Maharashtra #PeerLearning #FoundationalLearning

Last week, the #Uttarakhand #Anganwadi ecosystem celebrated its first-ever state-wide Early Childhood Care and Education - #ECCEDay. And we were glad to be a part of it. The event was attended by the Director of the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development (DWECD), Uttarakhand, Mr Banshi Lal Rana, along with other notable #government officials. The day's theme - Play, Movement & Physical Development - brought children and parents together through hands-on, joyful learning. A community Bal Mela, co-organised with Azim Premji Foundation, made the celebration even more vibrant. We are honoured that we were formally acknowledged by #DWECD, Uttarakhand for our continued partnership in advancing #EarlyChildhoodDevelopment at the grassroots level across Uttarakhand. #ECCEDay #EarlyChildhoodDevelopment #Uttarakhand #RocketLearning #PlayBasedLearning #SystemsChange #SocialImpact #ECCE #EducationForAll

We are proud to share that we are actively supporting the Residential Job Training Programme for 2,500 newly recruited ICDS Supervisors in Uttar Pradesh. The Supervisors are the critical link between policy and practice, the ones who will mentor and guide Anganwadi educators as they deliver early learning to millions of children across UP.  Through immersive residential training - role plays, field visits, group discussions, demonstrations, and play-based activities - we're not just transferring knowledge, we’re building mindsets, strengthening supportive supervision, and enabling a culture of quality ECCE at scale. Great to work closely with ICDS and partner organisations  toward a shared goal: every child experiencing joyful, engaging, and nurturing early learning. #RocketLearning #EarlyChildhoodEducation #ECCE  #UttarPradesh #ICDS #FoundationalLearning #AnganwadiWorkers #CapacityBuilding #SocialImpact #SupervisorTraining

We had the privilege of supporting the Department of Women & Child Development, Haryana at their State-Level Training and Review Event -  bringing together Child Development Project Officers, Supervisors, senior leadership and cross-department representatives from National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Right to Information (RTI), Public Financial Management System (PFMS), etc. The event was chaired by Dr. Priyanka Soni, Director WCD, Haryana. Our team anchored the day's sessions, including a focused conversation on our Birth-to-Three program; covering how early stimulation, responsive caregiving and brain development in the first three years of a child's life lays the foundation for everything that follows. District-wise exhibitions were held showcasing TLMs, DIY learning materials, and on-ground innovations from Anganwadi centres—highlighting the creativity and commitment of frontline workers. Check out some highlights from the event! #RocketLearning #Haryana #EarlyChildhood #Anganwadi #DWCD #ECCE #BrainDevelopment

As India accelerates towards Viksit Bharat 2047 and implements the National Education Policy, the focus on foundational learning, rural education and future-ready skills is sharper than ever. At the NDTV LearnNXT Conclave 2026, our co-founder Siddhant Sachdeva joined leading educationists, policymakers, and global academic voices for a powerful discussion on “Laying the Foundation: What is the need of the hour?” During the session, he spoke about our AIM framework and how it focuses on Aspiration, Information, and Motivation to drive real behaviour change among Anganwadi educators and parents. On investments in early education, he mentioned that early childhood investment is critical for India’s future; not just for literacy and numeracy, but for building social-emotional skills like resilience and adaptability. It is a long-term investment that addresses root causes, placing the child at the centre of development - a broader societal shift that celebrates childhood. We are delighted to share that our co-founder, Namya Mahajan, participated in the 6th Philanthropy Asia Summit. She was part of the panel “Threads of Care: Investing in India’s Youngest for a Healthier, Happier, Holistic Future”, anchored by The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (UK). The session highlighted how catalytic capital, patient funding, and deep state partnerships can transform outcomes for India’s youngest citizens. Namya emphasised that many nonprofits start by building strong pilots outside government systems, but these often fail to scale because they remain parallel to how public systems actually work. Instead, sustainable impact comes from designing within government systems from the beginning. This is exactly what we have been doing since day one. Instead of building our own parallel system, we levearaged India's existing Anganwadi network - the largest early childhood platform in the world, with 1.4 million centres reaching 80 million children. The result? The government is stepping in to fund and own the programme itself. That's what real scale looks like. Grateful to be part of this global conversation on building stronger beginnings for every child. #RocketLearning #EarlyEducationForAll #ECCE #PhilanthropyAsiaSummit #Anganwadi #FoundationalLearning #SocialImpact
