They shot and killed a 1-year-old to save a $20 pack of diapers.
A 1-year-old in Mississippi was shot and killed by police after a cop opened fire on a vehicle involved in an alleged shoplifting incident at a Walmart. An adult was also critically wounded. A witness says they saw 2 women leaving the store with an infant, Kohen Kartier Wiley, and a box of diapers. Relatives deny that Wiley's mother and aunt were shoplifting, with some saying they had a digital receipt on a phone. This is a national tragedy. The officers knew about Kohen Kartier Wiley being in the car before they opened fire. Firing into a moving vehicle in a crowded parking lot over a non-violent offense is both criminally reckless and completely unjustified. RIP Kohen Kartier Wiley

Walmart is a company valued at ONE TRILLION DOLLARS and some overzealous ass manager in Senatobia called the cops over a pack of diapers worth what, $25, $30? And they were paid for? Now a baby is dead. Calling the cops is a death sentence and they know this.

CPC mouthwashes feature positively charged molecules that bind with multiple kinds of negatively charged microbial membranes (fungi, bacteria, some viruses) and kill them over an effective period of three to five hours
This is true. This is the official Dental Hygiene fact sheet: Electric toothbrushes: real but too expensive Flossing: real Fluorine: real Mouthwash: completely fake, total scam

Just grotesque.
Canada firmly believes in establishing the conditions for lasting peace. In coordination with the UK and Australia, we will establish a new International Peace Fund for Israelis and Palestinians. The Fund will invest in programmes to reduce division, advance dialogue, strengthen the voices of moderates and marginalize the extremists, including Hamas. We call on our international partners to support this initiative and invest in the long-term foundations for peace.

There’s a three-year-old boy I can’t stop thinking about. His name is Preston Fox. I met him in Neskantaga, where his grandfather hands out bottled water flown in from Thunder Bay twice a week — because the tap water there has been unsafe to drink for 31 years. Preston has bleeding sores on his skin from showering in it. He’s already walked the family graveyard more times than any child should. This week Ottawa tabled a new Clean Water Act for First Nations. There’s real money in it. There’s also weaker language on rights, weaker protections for the rivers that feed these communities, and chiefs who found out about the changes days before it landed on the House floor. Meanwhile, a pipeline gets billions without a second thought. Roads to mining country get fast-tracked. Water for kids like Preston takes 31 years and two governments. I wrote about Preston, about Grassy Narrows, about Fort Chipewyan — about what this country chooses to move fast for, and what it doesn’t. Please read it. Please share it. Hiy hiy. 🪶 open.substack.com/pub/indige…

why do people never apply this logic to goods made in sweatshops
🧙🏽‍♀️ Witchy Woo Tip: While the rest of the world romanticizes "vintage" finds, they remain entirely blind to the invisible baggage they are bringing across their thresholds. Material objects are not inert; they are energetic sponges. When you buy something antique, you aren’t just purchasing a piece of decor, you are acquiring a physical anchor to an unknown, historical timeline. An object carries the compounded layers of every room it sat in, every argument it witnessed, and every unspoken emotion that saturated its environment. This is what it means for an item to be seasoned. The Glamour Spell: Aesthetic vs. Frequency We live in a culture hypnotized by visual curation. People buy mid-century chairs or Victorian mirrors simply because they look elite. This is a dangerous form of aesthetic romanticism. When you bring an unverified, seasoned object into your home, you invite an energetic Trojan Horse into your sanctuary. That stunning antique desk might have been the epicenter of someone’s financial ruin and anxious nights. If you experience sudden creative blocks or unexplained heavy moods after a vintage shopping trip, you aren't imagining it. You are experiencing a timeline clash. Your home should be a launchpad for your future, not a museum for someone else's unresolved past. If you still choose to bring seasoned objects into your field, you cannot afford to be passive. It takes more than a casual wave of a sage stick to clear decades of embedded frequency; it requires a strict energetic eviction. • The Diagnostic Audit: Before an object enters your home, read its signature. Touch it with intention. Do you feel an expansion in your chest, or a subtle, tight restriction? If it feels heavy, leave it. Never let aesthetic override intuition. • The Command: Once home, explicitly strip the object of its old assignment. Mentally state that its past timeline is officially closed, its old loyalties are dissolved, and it now answers exclusively to your authority. • The Reprogramming: Dedicate the object to a new purpose. Let it know exactly what frequency it is now required to hold in your sanctuary, whether that is power, clarity, or absolute stillness. Stop treating your environment like an accidental collection of pretty things. If you do not actively command the frequency of your space, the history of your objects will command you.

If you've made Lavender Syrup in the past, chances are it turned out brownish-yellow. Here are 2 tricks to make it a naturally vibrant purple colour: Purple Lavender Syrup Recipe Ingredients - Juice of 1 lemon (about 2–3 tbsp) - A couple of fresh or frozen blueberries (optional) - Flower heads from about 20-25 lavender sprigs - 400 g (2 cups) granulated sugar - 400 ml (about 1⅔ cups) water Directions Prepare lavender Squeeze the lemon juice into a bowl. Add lavender blossoms and muddle well. Strain lavender, reserving the lemon juice separately. Muddle into sugar Pour the sugar into a small pot. Pour the prepared lavender blossoms into the sugar and muddle thoroughly for a few minutes, crushing them well. Simmer and steep Add the water. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the mixture turns clear. Optionally add frozen blueberries for a deeper purple colour. Remove from heat, cover, and let steep until cooled to room temperature. Optionally add some of the lemon juice reserved earlier, to lighten the colour and balance the sweetness. Strain and store Strain through a fine mesh strainer into clean bottles or jars. Store in the refrigerator for 2-4 weeks or freeze. Notes - Pick lavender flowers that are deep purple and are starting to blossom / open up. - Pick off blossoms from the stems, so only the purple parts are used. - Don't overuse or oversteep the lavender, as it can give a soapy flavour to the syrup. - If using blueberries, don't overuse them, as it can turn the syrup reddish instead of pink-purple (it won't affect the flavour).
