My publisher called. Okay, they didn't call. But if they had, they probably would have asked why book sales are moving slower than a service dog waiting patiently at a crosswalk. If you've been meaning to grab a copy of INSISTENT, I'd sure appreciate it! If you've enjoyed following our journey, consider picking up a copy of INSISTENT and helping keep the story moving. amazon.com/Insistent-Joey-Ra…
INSISTENT: The Powerful Bond that Fueled a Global Fight for Inclusion Author: Joey Ramp-Adams featuring Service Dogs in Science Sampson, Theo, and Pax! A Traumatic Brain Injury. A Fluffy White Service Dog. A Fight That Changed Everything. After a devastating accident left Joey Ramp-Adams with twenty-three broken bones, a traumatic brain injury, and severe neurological impairments, she lost her ability to speak, understand language, and even function in the outside world. Isolated in a world of pain, confusion, and despair, she saw no way forward—until one soft-eyed Golden Retriever named Sampson showed her otherwise. With Sampson by her side, Joey didn’t just rebuild her life—she rewrote the rules. Determined to understand the science behind her injury, she returned to academia to study neuroscience, becoming the first service dog handler to demand full access to scientific laboratories. Faced with systemic bias, discrimination, and doors slammed shut, Joey refused to back down. Instead, she and Sampson became a force for global change. Insistent is a powerful memoir of resilience, advocacy, and the unbreakable bond between a woman and her service dog. Together, they shattered barriers, reshaped policies, and sparked a movement that reached from classrooms to Congress. This is not just a story about survival—it’s a story about transformation, purpose, and the courage to challenge a system stacked against you. Joey fought for her life. Then she fought for others. With Sampson leading the way, she proved that determination—like love—never gives up. IN all major bookstores August 26, 2025. Preorder your copy here: barnesandnoble.com/w/insiste…

PDS TORNADO ONGOING 9 miles north of Bloomington, Indiana. A debris ball can be seen BOTH on Correlation Coefficient and Reflectivity, showing this is a strong and large tornado. It is likely rain wrapped, and as night grows darker, you will not be able to see it. SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY in this warning!

Sadly we have grim and sad news about Brix. His new X-rays show fluid is filling his whole body, and though this morning he was clinically fine, his condition is no longer stable or likely to improve. He is undergoing a chest puncture to take the fluid and figure out what it is. More answers will happen from the fluid but right now he is in a very tough situation.

PLEASE free retweet 16 vet visits needed. 2 kittens rescued 2AM Monday at vet for the week 😭😭.
The Forgotten Field Project Update For days, we tried. Night after night, Priya returned to the field with traps, hoping to finally bring the rest of the kittens from the second family group to safety. But rescue rarely goes according to plan. If it wasn't torrential sheets of rain sending the kittens deep into the bramble bushes for shelter, it was a determined band of marauding raccoons staging midnight raids on our sardines, springing traps and frustrating our efforts night after night. It was frustrating. It was exhausting. And with each passing day, we worried about these little ones trying to survive in a forgotten field bordered by a busy parking lot and highway. But finally, persistence paid off. We are so happy to share that all kittens from the 2nd group have now been safely brought into rescue. (First group was Poppy, Teddy, Meadow, Clover, Aster & Willow) Their sweet sister, Zena, our little Princess Warrior, has been waiting for them. Scared and lonely without her family, she cried for them constantly. But at last, they are together again. Once they were given some quiet time to settle in and we stepped away, keeping watch through the Blink camera, (in video) a heartwarming scene began to unfold. The fear melted away. Soon they were chasing, wrestling, tumbling over one another, and playing as though they had never been apart. Zena had her family back. It brings happy tears to our eyes every time we watch it. No matter how many rescues you've been part of, moments like these never lose their magic. They remind you that every late night, every setback, every worry is worth it when vulnerable little lives are finally safe from harm and surrounded by love. It's the WHY❣️ The dangers of the field have been replaced by something every kitten deserves: safety, warmth, full bellies, and love. No longer lost, but found. But rescue is only the first step. These babies now need their initial veterinary exams, first vaccines, testing for disease, deworming, flea treatment, and, if they are deemed old enough, spay and neuter surgery. With their arrival, we now have 13 Forgotten Field kittens and cats safely in rescue who need veterinary care. This is where the real work begins. Bringing them to safety is only the beginning of the journey. Making them healthy, protected, and ready for the future is the next critical step. We continue to need your help to get them all seen and vetted. Please continue sharing The Forgotten Field Project and helping us spread the word. Tonight, 13 Forgotten Field kittens are safe. At least 17 more cats are still waiting. They will need food, medical care, spay/neuter, and, most importantly, someone willing to say yes when the world has forgotten them. We are committed to helping them. One life at a time. One family at a time. Thank you for believing in them. Thank you for helping us keep going. And thank you for giving these forgotten cats a chance at the life they deserve. We won't stop until every life has a chance.💞 And if you have ever fed a pack of velociraptor kittens, you'll know that a tremendous amount of food is, um, consumed (actually...inhaled, snarfed, gobbled !) 🦖 @gandolf_s is in need of food. 🙏 Fancy Feast canned, Broths, Stews & Kitten Chow 😺🦖amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3P… 💞

No big improvements yet, but Brix is still fighting. He has definitely improved since 11 this morning but not as much in the last 3 hours.

I am just going to do my usual humiliating begging for free retweets to get help. I was out until 2AM this morning to get the last 2 of the litter to safety without a plan in place, but my heart. I grieve the 4 siblings that so many saw daily, did nothing that lost their lives in a painful tragic way💔 It was just a matter of time for these 2 to meet the same fate. Mother and 2 babies were trapped and taken at the crack of dawn to vet for initial vet visits. 4 weeks-16 lives😴, no foster, no help from my neighborhood community, not even an expression of joy… PLEASE RETWEET 🙏. I ask for help and I follow through… paypal.me/ppknox gofund.me/c7c290528
🗣️UPDATE ON THE FORGOTTEN FIELD PROJECT A major milestone was reached last night in the Forgotten Field Project.✅ After weeks of searching, trapping, waiting, worrying, and hoping, @gandolf_s Priya successfully trapped the final three cats from Group 3. 🤗 A feral female is at the vet today and will be TNR. There are two kittens, a sweet cow baby and a gray baby.(photo) The rescue is officially F.U.L.L. to the rafters. Every crate, and spare corner is occupied. Four weeks. Sixteen kittens and cats were rescued. Here’s how it breaks down… 🐈‍⬛ Group One. Has six. Poppy, Willow, Clover, Meadow,Teddy, Aster. 🐈‍⬛ Group Two. Has seven. 6 kittens (so far only Zena has a name) 1 Adult female. 🐈‍⬛ Group Three. Has three (surviving). 1 adult female and 2 kittens. *4 kittens in Group 3 tragically lost their lives to the road before we could get to them.😭🌈rip sweet innocent babies. These precious beings no longer have to endure the hunger, fear, and danger of life in the forgotten field. We take comfort in knowing that 16 are now safe, but our hearts still ache for the four babies who found their way out too soon. They rest beyond our reach now, and losing them this way was soul crushing. So many saw them, and did nothing. 😡 But rescue is only the beginning. Now comes the costly part. The extraordinary cost of veterinary care. The exams. The vaccines. The testing. The spay and neuter surgeries. The microchips. The food. The litter. The cleaning. The daily care that transforms frightened field kittens into healthy, loved companions. Add in our aging sanctuary gang of 18…and we now have a 34 member choir singing “Feed me, scoop my poop, give me a cuddle, take me to the dr” in unison! We have spent weeks getting cats and kittens out of danger. Now we must provide everything that comes next. The Forgotten Field Project Fund was created for this very moment: to ensure that every life brought out of the field receives the care, medical attention, food and chance at a future that they deserve. Yes, this is where we ask for your dollars. To help a baby be ready for their new home and create the space we need to help more. The conveyor belt of kitten season has been turned on…and we have to keep it moving. The reality in adoptions is, sadly, the older they get, the harder it is to get them adopted. We love them deeply, no matter their age. But they need to have loving homes. But there is a saying in rescue: "Every adoption opens a space. Every open space saves a life." The empty crates aren’t crates, they are... CUBICLES OF PROMISE. And there are more in the field waiting for us. Please help if you can. And share. It's a lot.😳 Please look to my bio for links. The algorithm gods keep eyes from seeing you when you place them here. 🙄the kittens need more eyes, not less. Presenting...Iggy and Squiggy💞

Yesterday I discovered there are 2 other kittens I didn’t see before where the other 4 got run over 💔💔💔💔🌈. If anyone wants to help them, I will rescue bumping it up to 16 vet visits needed. As I don’t have space due to the 13 rescued in the past 4 weeks, initially they would have to be boarded at my vet until I magically create space, get crates…Vetting per kitten without illness is approximately $600. Thank you for sharing 💔❤️🙏 paypal.me/ppknox gofund.me/ef8335898
Stress, exhaustion, panic, anxiety consuming me… 4 weeks, 13 precious lives saved from pure hell. 18 seniors- Cancer, CKD, IBD, abnormal eyes…4 - 8 week old kittens run over💔. More cages set up, more litters boxes to purchase, more bowls to wash, more cleaning… ZENA was reunited with her siblings late last night. All 6 now safe. Mother spayed. The runt is extremely feral making things so much harder. 10 spay/neuter, microchips, combo tests, FVRCP boosters, rabies vaccines, deworming, flea treatments… I BEG for help. Please free retweet is all I can ask🙏 paypal.me/ppknox Medlock Bridge Animal Hospital 770-242-9272 under Priya Venmo @ Priya-Patel-Knox
