This shows the first step of the sparse virtual texturing algorithm applied to a globe with 256x128 image tiles organized into a quad-tree. The shader used to compute the required texture resolution across the globe runs in a webworker with OffscreenCanvas WebGL. #threejs

For the #ITS World Congress we created an animated public transport map for Hamburg. You can zoom and tilt the scene to see trains moving through the city. → go.ubilabs.co/3DtDxma The app was build using the latest WebGL features of the @GMapsPlatform together with @Threejs.

SpaceX Falcon 9 launches into a clear sky here at Cape Canaveral! The flight path went through the 53% waning gibbous Moon. Using @flightclubio I was able to make this shot happen!
