Two corrections 1. No one has said Air quality is fine. pm2.5 higher than WHO norms. 2. There is a stark difference in Air quality vs Air quality reading. If u sprinkle water switch off monitors in worst times. reading will improve, not Air quality. Misleading naive citizens.

Long post Alert 🚨 The civic neglect and disregard for waste management in Gurugram have been ongoing for nearly 11 years, possibly more. @ramanmalik ji Despite policies noticed by @moefcc these have been completely ignored. Do ask land owners , political representatives and local strongmen why have challans been pushed back when action has been taken on some accounts by @MunCorpGurugram, @ULBHaryana, @DC_Gurugram, and @OfficialGMDA who’s stopped whom from enforcing government rules. This too is well known to all. The commodification of waste too is well known ! A detrimental 30-year agreement was signed between the Haryana government and a Chinese company to landfill waste, which would later be reduced using Waste-to-Energy (WtE) burn technology, adding to pollution woes. We recall @SethiRuchikaT sharing a letter with you requesting you to use your good office and take Gurgaon’s plea for De Centralized Waste Mngt to @mlkhattar ji and as well highlight the public health hazard faced by entire city. There was absolutely no feedback from you . We shared violations of all kinds the gross civic deficiencies and the squalor surrounding most area with suggestions for complete enforcement of policy and infrastructure support for sustainable SWM. The 2019 representation highlighted violations happening in broad daylight !! We have also had debates with you on TV about the lack of C&D waste processing capacities and the influence of waste mafia way back in 2017-2018 @RajKVerma4 ji may even have a recording of the same. It's easy to sermonize, but such advice should have been directed at policymakers and implementers 8-10 years ago when the mischief corruption and bad practices was evident. Can you show us a single representation meeting discussion you may have had with @NayabSainiBJP ji or @ulbharyana @csharyana @VipulGoelBJP ji or @kamalguptabjp ji seeking utilization of the several crores Swachh bharat fund on building Biogas CBG, composting, Dry waste collection centre , enhancing C&D waste processing capacities , IMPLENTING & ENFORCING NGT Dust Containment norms and guidelines asking @TrafficGGM to impound the vehicles freighting malba soil sand without cover and adding to air borne dust Pollution. The city is finally waking up, demanding serious and sustainable action beyond just transporting waste. It’s also seeking ENFORCEMENT of Plastic Ban orders and to bring in Waste Minimization policy ! Is political will there for course correction and build a strong foundation so that the city neither faces drain flooding nor waste burning nor indiscriminate dumping ?
