The capital is worth $1 because the expectation that in the future the wealth created by the labor his company organizes is $1T more then the total cost of all the resources spent to do it. He gets the capital, the consumers, get the wealth. if we had 500 more trillionaires, all else equal, it would mean the world will produce twice as much wealth as exists today. So we would consume twice as much wealth as today. So we all would average be twice as wealthy.

There is a strong tendency in this industry to feel the boat being rocked by the waves and take your hands off the rudder. There is a comfort in it… in blaming nature for your lack of success, because it could easily be true. But in the depths of the storm is exactly when the ship needs a strong hand at the rudder most.

Blockchains are mostly just settlement layers. You can be bullish on the American economy without being bullish on $NDAQ . S&P can grow 10x while $NDAQ stays flat. Investing in L1s is mostly like investing in Nasdaq when the world was trading equities on paper. Its a technological evolution that will mostly be zero sum. The only things that matter are scale, cost per tx, UX, and how distributed the network is.

The Zcash Orchard zk circuit bug, as reported by @DefuseSec. The bug looks obvious in retrospect, but unfortunately, it was missed by perhaps the most diligent protocol designers, cryptographers, and auditors.
