I'm absolutely thrilled that Darklake and its proof tech will find a new home with @solstrategies. We keep building. Solana.
🚨ANNOUNCEMENT SOL Strategies has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Darklake Labs, bringing zero-knowledge privacy tech in-house to power more secure, private and institution ready on-chain finance. A major milestone in our journey to build on Solana. 🧵

SITUATION DETECTED: The city of Rio de Janerio has post-trained a model. Based on Qwen 7/2, Rio 3.5 Open 397B adds SwiReasoning on top of the base Qwen model — a framework that dynamically switches between standard chain-of-thought and latent-space reasoning, guided by entropy-based confidence signals, so the model only "thinks out loud" when it needs to and otherwise reasons silently in hidden space for better token efficiency.

The postmortem from Coinbase's 10-hour outage is out and... damn They run global trading from a single region because of latency. OK, I understand. BUT they have no automated failover prepared! Are they praying the region never goes down?? Doesn't compute for me...

i hooked my whoop to my work calendar to find which coworker gives me the most stress 🚨 thanks to fable, I reverse engineered whoop to pull per minute heart rate. nd matched spikes with cal events and attendees I now have a leaderboard and I think about it daily. few info masked for obvious reasons ;)

> Idk where these ideas come from lol? from years of saying that all that matters is that apps make money, that it's fine for validators to run at a loss they should be supported by an actual business, etc? We don't have to pretend that that wasn't _the_ narrative. We can admit that it was a 250$ SOL narrative. Progress happens when you admit that yesterday you were a little dumber and naive than today.

Capital != wealth. Capital is just how we organize labor. Wealth is what is created by the labor, the cars, the rockets, the satellites. Elon is a manger of labor. The capital is worth $1 because the expectation that in the future the wealth created by the labor his company organizes is $1T more then the total cost of all the resources spent to do it. He gets the capital, the consumers, get the wealth. if we had 500 more trillionaires, all else equal, it would mean the world will produce twice as much wealth as exists today. So we would consume twice as much wealth as today. So we all would average be twice as wealthy.

Proud to share that @solana is now the presenting sponsor of the World Series of Poker, the first in 15 years and only 3rd in their 59 year history. When we thought about what kind of bets we could make to grow Solana, poker was a standout: - 100m monthly players; bigger than golf and tennis combined - Fastest growing game in Asia - The biggest “sport” where capital and economy are central to its gameplay - Future of trading looks more like poker than traditional finance - Many poker pros integrate crypto in their lives already, from settling private games to staking We approached @WSOP to see how we could collaborate deeply and came away ready to go all in. We are building together on a number of fronts: - Bringing WSOP back to @ESPN live in August with Solana front and center through the entire experience, broadcasting to 400 million households worldwide - Streaming 150 hours live from Vegas on Solana - SOL Solana stablecoins exclusively for tournament buy-ins and payouts (already processed millions in the last week!) - Collaborating to bring poker staking into the crypto era, as well as prediction markets and other frontier products - Creating content together to educate traders on the game and poker players on trading onchain Poker is a game I’ve loved for 20 years and I’m personally excited to bring these two adjacent worlds together.

The play is never the move. It's the mind behind it. The World Series of Poker. Now dealt by Solana.

There is a strong tendency in this industry to feel the boat being rocked by the waves and take your hands off the rudder. There is a comfort in it… in blaming nature for your lack of success, because it could easily be true. But in the depths of the storm is exactly when the ship needs a strong hand at the rudder most.

Blockchains are mostly just settlement layers. You can be bullish on the American economy without being bullish on $NDAQ . S&P can grow 10x while $NDAQ stays flat. Investing in L1s is mostly like investing in Nasdaq when the world was trading equities on paper. Its a technological evolution that will mostly be zero sum. The only things that matter are scale, cost per tx, UX, and how distributed the network is.
The Ethereum not ETH stuff is the mental fallacy that triggered me into writing and podcasting in the first place. There is no strong Ethereum without an ETH worth trillions. Without ETH as a global store of value, Ethereum is a failed project. Full stop. ETH is economic bandwidth for DeFi. It is the only asset maximized for CROPs, fail at high value ETH, fail at CROPs, fail at Ethereum. Saying you’re bullish Ethereum not ETH is like saying you’re bullish America not the American economy. They are one and the same - economic engines. Better to admit Ethereum is a failed project than “Ethereum not ETH”. So spew that weak blockchain not crypto stuff out of your mouth, it doesn’t make sense for BTC, ZEC, ETH, or any truly crypto native project.

The Zcash Orchard zk circuit bug, as reported by @DefuseSec. The bug looks obvious in retrospect, but unfortunately, it was missed by perhaps the most diligent protocol designers, cryptographers, and auditors. It may get worse before it gets better, unfortunately. Expanding coverage of formal verification is probably the only long-term solution we have.
