Happy to share the product of a beautiful collaboration just published in @natcomms.
We investigate, in males and females, how exposure to early life adversity can shape resilience and susceptibility to stressful situations later in life.

🚨 Our new study "Decoding the molecular, cellular, and functional heterogeneity of zebrafish intracardiac nervous system" out in @NatureComms! 🌟
We identify the "little brain" of the heart: the intricate intracardiac nervous system (IcNS) of zebrafish! 🐟 Learn more here about how this changes what we know about heart functionality.

Excited to share @AmpatzisLab and @KizilLab's's new paper on #zebrafish 's intracardiac nervous system (IcNS), highlighting the presence of pacemaker-like neurons that partake in heart rhythm—linking cardiac and neuroscience research. nature.com/articles/s41467-0…
Our new study is out!

We (@CarlenLab) mapped the mouse PFC using single-unit activity! We recorded ~23,000 neurons across cortical/subcortical regions and profiled spont. firing patterns to reveal what separates the PFC from other brain regions.

I'm excited to share the publication of @GalAtlan 's final PhD project.
Title is accurate for the take-home message, yet, there is a lot more to the paper, including the association of claustrum activity to individual variance in strategy. Check it out:

Paper alert from @NathalieJuYa lab now published in iScience.cell.com/iscience/fulltext/S…
Cilia are involved in many developmental processes. Our work sheds light on their function in establishing neural circuits in the zebrafish larval brain.
We are recruiting! A Postdoctoral researcher position focused on perinatal mental health and treatment is now available in my lab, in collaboration with @LuDonghao lab at @karolinskainst and the KI Research Incubator.

We found a variant in FN1 gene correlated with lower pathology at the bbb and decreased reactive gliosis in unaffected carriers. #Zebrafish knockout model confirmed that loss of FN1 function could reduce brain damage in Alzheimer's. #kizillabbiorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Super grateful @ERC_Research for funding our #ERCSyG project CartoHostBug. Excited to work with @ZellerGroup, @giacomello_lab, @saezlab, experts in tech dev, microbiome and data analysis, and together will tackle the complexity of host-microbiome interaction at high resolution!
📣 Results of the 2023 ERC Synergy Grant competition are out!
37 research groups win a total of €395 million in #ERCSyG funding 👉 This will enable them to pool diverse expertise and resources to push the frontiers of knowledge.
