An evidence based response.....
1. Those companies did not build those stadiums; they simply paid for the naming rights. For example, Mercedes-Benz pays an average of $12 million per year to have its name on the stadium. 2. The disparity between the cost of maintaining such facilities and the income they generate is so vast that they could easily become white elephants. Maintaining the Mercedes-Benz Stadium costs about $5 million monthly. There is simply no market for such facilities here. 3. What we need are small arenas (with capacities of 5,000 to 10,000) that have well-maintained playing surfaces and other decent facilities in every Local Government Area across the country. 4. Local Governments (not the president) across the country should be doing (thats if their governors allow local government autonomy to thrive) 5. We can also encourage companies and individuals to build such facilities. For example, I built full-sized pitch (personal funds) at Urban Day Grammar School, Ibadan. Guess what? We have already unearthed some talents who are now on their way to trials abroad. Imagine what we could achieve if we all joined hands and did this at scale.

This is the way a politician should always answer questions or inquiry... "I have done this, we can do this better" not telling us stories of how things are bad without how you have changed it in your little or limited capacity...📍

I understand the disenchant that could make one viscerally dismissive of the emerging macro-stability of Nigeria’s economy. Disenchantment should however not blind the enlightened towards the substantial value of a stable macroeconomic environment.
Nearly 200,000 people have had to prematurely withdraw from their pensions due to job loss over the last 5 years. These are official figures from PENCOM that demonstrate the disaster of BAT and their party yet APC folks want you to disregard this in favour of bogus macro indices.

Has anyone noticed that it seems the Nigerian Police are now directly engaging the enemies more in areas previously left for the Army???
🚨🔥 👮‍♂️Nigerian Police in the heat of battle in Zamfara 👮‍♂️💥🔥🔥🔥 Bagega-Anka Road, Zamfara yesterday. Our police officers and tactical teams were right in the middle of it armored vehicle hit, but the fight continues. See them securing the area, rifles up, moving with courage under heavy conditions. This is the reality on the dangerous roads of Zamfara. They’re out there daily taking the heat so civilians can move safely. Massive respect to every officer and personnel holding it down. 🙏🙏🙏 Pray for their protection, strength, and victory over bandits. Nigeria stands with you! If you support our security forces, drop 🔥 and share this.

He is on 350k a week. Compare him to players in his wage bracket & you'll see how useless he is.
As much as I disliked what Rashford did please do not disrespect him. He is better than all these mids y’all are clamoring for attack wise.

American stadiums dey enter your eye? You want 10 of those? A country where there is so much money, they had to look for a backdoor way to accommodate all the companies and money that were desperate to be part of the World Cup; they moved football from 2 halves to 4 quarters. If you think the hydration break is because of rest and water, you are such a sincere person. I like you. Lol.

The verbal answer is the easiest part yet he's not even intelligent enough for that. BAT not only had an answer, he provided a legislative solution and streamlined our tax. Only for demons worshiping this Idol to push misinformation about it and attack those correcting them.
This one genuinely had me questioning my own comprehension skills. A straightforward question: how would you harmonise and streamline taxes for MSMEs that are currently facing multiple layers of taxation from state and local levels? A simple question on tax harmonisation. Ladies and gentlemen, please listen carefully to Peter Obi’s response. 😭 At some point I started wondering whether I was the one missing something. Or is something wrong with me ? Watch till end, those men couldn’t help but laugh😩😩

An important part of the story, while there is an undeniable increase in federation revenues, the forecasted (budget) revenue is still largely delusional.
Replying to @AgoraPolicy
Statutory revenue fell short of its April budget target by 49% while VAT also underperformed its projection by 3%.

Meanwhile, if you use the data from 2023. The number is falling and it may well fall further in 2026.

Well I understand you but we will be here when I tell you that locals (informants) out. Glad Katsina State Govt has come to its senses that peace agreement cannot solve banditry if the perpetrators are not ready for prosecution.
Ban on jerrycans is across the state which blocks supplies and logistics across the state. Other localized businesses are banned in two LGs that are now the frontlines. The other affected Local Governments- Kankia, parts of Malumfashi, Charanci and Kusada- are being affected by bandits camped in Musawa/Matazu. So yes, its logical for the directives to be on the two frontline LGs for now. Especially given the consequences of the directives on normal citizens.

IMF says naira is 25% undervalued despite FX reforms The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says the naira remains undervalued by 25.6 percent despite recovering some ground against the US dollar following Nigeria’s foreign exchange (FX) reforms. An undervalued currency means the exchange rate is weaker than what economic fundamentals would ordinarily support. thecable.ng/imf-says-naira-i…

Our lawmakers that invited him to the national assembly over his squabble with risky Bob should take the blame for this nonsense first. They used our hallowed chamber to chase clout.
This VDM guy has taken his clout chasing campaign into the defense space, offering simplistic and impractical solutions to complex security challenges. With the protest movement failing to gain significant traction, the next move is to stand in front of a map and call on Nigerians to "come out and chase away terrorists and bandits", claiming they have taken over 90% of the country. Now, he knows this is ridiculous and impractical. He says it anyway because it appeals to public frustration and emotions. There are many willing to believe the narrative that the military is of no use and that calls by VeryDarkMan for ordinary Nigerians to come out and chase the terrorists away represent the solution to Nigeria's security challenges. This is the level of influence and platform we have alloted to social commentators in Nigeria today. They are able to exploit sensitive national security issues for personal publicity and self promotion without regard for the consequences of the matters they comment on.

No. you are going farther down the timeline. June 8 - June 14 Brent: $87.30 WTI: $84.26 June 15-16 Brent: $81.41 WTI: $78.69 The last time it was anything above $100 was mid-may. Dangote didn’t reflect that price until now just to play smart with the market.
The % decrease from $115 to $85 is 35% while Dangote reduce by 6% from 1,250 to 1,175. We need competition to bring down price petrol in Nigeria

Your national league pays N200m in prize money. Was N150m until recently. Your stadiums sit empty 99% of the time but your president should organise to build 10 more big stadiums because the empty ones you currently have can always be turned into national relics for tourism. Your biggest football property, the Super Eagles, can’t pull a sold out stadium because most people would rather the gate is thrown open, when the tickets aren’t vastly discounted. ‘Football mad country,’ just like ‘oil rich country’ but only when you are looking at things without asking questions. Sometimes, as a person, you exit the hysteria and look at things for what they are. Until then, you can’t change a thing.
